Keys To the Game
1: Having at least one player at all 5 positions
The Cavs don't have a SF, but Tobias Harris kinda sucks too so that won't be a big issue. If Vucevic sits after twisting his ankle the other night the Magic will be without a center, which is a much bigger issue. They're 0-4 without him so far this year, including a 38 point mauling at the hands of the Knicks.
2: Rookies Not Sucking
Oladipo started off the year hot, but shot just 38% from the field and 24% from 3 in December and saw his minutes dwindle to 17 in Tuesday's loss to the Warriors. The Cavs have two rookies in Bennett and Dellavedova, either of whom could potentially not suck, which mathematically gives them a bit of an advantage here.
3: Wanting To Win
Orlando GM Rob Hennigan's New Years resolution was two words long: Andrew Wiggins (Chris Grant's New Years resolution was similar, but probably involves a prospect in the 5-10 range instead). That means the Magic have a lot more losing to do if they want to make Hennigan's dream come true, and that should give the Cavs an edge in this game.
