Game Notes
  • Philly's last starting lineup was Tony Wroten, K.J. McDaniels, Robert Convington, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute, and Nerlens Noel. Their bench consisted of JaKarr Simpson, Malcom Thomas, Furkan Aldemir, and Jerami Grant (Michael-Carter Williams and Hollis Thompson did not play). The 76ers have not won a single home game.
  • The Cavs are 7-7 coming off a loss. The 76ers are... well, let's not go there.
  • Go back and read Philly's lineup.
  • The Injured: OUT: Cavs: LeBron (Back, etc.) , Kyrie (Back, etc.) , Varejao (Achilles) | 76ers: AK47 (Personal Issues), Joel Embiid (Recovering) DOUBTFUL: Cavs: The Bench | 76ers: Jason Richardson (Okay, he isn't going to play, but hey, let's put it here) PROBABLE/LIKELY: Cavs: ??? | 76ers: Michael Carter-Williams (Shoulder), Hollis Thompson (Sickness)
SOME KEY(S)
  • DON'T LET "SOME GUY" BE "THE MAN" The Cavs have a nasty habit of letting random players (usually off the bench) play to nearly double their scoring averages while shooting astronomical three-point percentages in almost all of their losses. Unfortunately, Philadelphia is full of these players. Please let's not let "JaKarr Simpson" or "Furkan Aldemir" rain threes.

Sixers will win a close one.

I'd call it a heartbreaker, but this team doesn't have any to begin with so who knows how it will affect their season.

Kevin Love's T'Wolves were better.

We lost.

Honestly, I'm thinking we might lose lol. Who tf is gonna score outside Love? Dion, you better step up.

Dion scores 28 and we leave him in Philly. We take back this hairdo to Cleveland.

For the love of God, Blatt, start Dion. Tell him his job is to be set others up first and worry about scoring only when he can't get someone else a shot in the first 20 seconds of the shot clock.

We need some vintage last-20-games-of-last-year Dion tonight. :chuckle:

i personally find this game to be a classic David vs David matchup. Only both of these teams are making David look like Goliath at this point. The fact that essentially our entire team is out... except for Love, makes this an excellent test for us. We have no business losing this game, the 76ers are possibly the worst team in NBA history this year. If the Cavs want any shot of good playoff positioning they best start winning against these garbage teams like crazy, because god help us on Wednesday and Thursday with Houston and Golden State on the schedule. Those will be national embarassments.

Good god, we're going to get flat out destroyed by Houston and Golden State. Philly is going to hand us the victory in this game, so we better not blow it.

Did we do a pick swap with Chicago that would occur this year? If so that sucks.

I was comforting myself in our horrible play lately by thinking we at least would move up a few slots in the draft order. But if Chicago gets HCA and our pick that adds insult to injury.

As for this game I wouldn't be surprised at all if Philly won. They will smell blood like every other team that sees our "defense".

Dion gets the nod to start. He should be motivated, playing at home, starting, being the guy with the ball in his hands. Motivated Dion can be very good. Please Dion, be very good tonight. Or at least not terrible.
