Game 37 | Cavaliers (27-9) @ Spurs (34-6) | January 14th, 2016 | 8:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kyries defense was terrible.

He was on Tony Parkers hip all game just giving him that floater. My ass could've scored 20 on Kyrie with that floater.

He was not fighting at all to get in front of Tony

We would probably lose this game regardless, but if you can't see the Cavs got dicked by the refs then you are blind.

People tend to take things out of proportion in these game threads. The overall picture is not as grim. We lost by 4 to the best defensive team on the planet, on their court, with two of our big 3 playing like complete shit in the midst of a really tight road trip. I really think this game could go either way, if some wide open shots went it.

There is still work to do, that is obvious. By everybody. But to me, this game was a good example that we can and will compete with the best of'em.

Have a good night, guys.

I think we have a Big 2 - LeBron and Delly. That's how we won Games 2 and 3 of The Finals...

Blatt's rotations were dog-shit the entire second half.

He got up in the second quarter with Delly-Shump-Bron-TT and Love (I think). So Blatt comes out in the third with Kyrie-JR-Mozzy and heavy doses of Jefferson. Egregious.
Cavs finished 1st quarter up 32-20 and lost the 2nd quarter 24-18

Meanwhile Thompson, Love Irving and Shump were all -5 or -6 in the 2nd quarter. delly and tristanplayed less than 5 minutes in that 2nd quarter..

Even if you adjust for the run in the last minute ne was expanding the Cavs leave.

Next person has shit to tell me about my criticsm about Blatt needs to tell me what he's done in our 2 biggest games this season. GS and this game. I'm all fine for giving love when it's due but holy shit some ppl on here act like he isn't made to look good because of his players. When we really need some Blatt excellence he literally ALWAYS fails. Last year in the finals, and now this year in big games. He rode LeBron for a whole year and nobody but me sees how useless he is

Mark Jackson would have us in better position right now. Idc about any personal and attacks in his religion people have about him I'm talking BASKETBALL. We'd be a better coached team right now if we had Mark Jackson

Blatt's been disappointing, but I don't see Mark Jackson as the answer.

All five starters scored in double figures.

Two bench players combined to score 12 points.

Not the only reason they lost, but that's a big one right there. Their second unit thoroughly embarrassed that of the Cavs.

The bench players were not the problem. Delly and Shump played better than most of the starters. The big problems were that Kyrie and Love played like matadors, JR disappeared after the first, and TT could grab a board when it counted. I would start Shump and up Delly's minutes, until Kyrie is really back. JR's offense helps the second unit more than the first.

Ok, we got up at the end of the first and held a double-digit lead for a lot of the second. What was working when we got up big? Delly-to-TT and Shump with the quick hands. What wasn't working? Kyrie taking bad shots and letting Parker blow past him, and JR bricking threes.

WTF are you talking about? Aldridge is an all-star level big man, Duncan is a hall of famer. They went 6-15 and scored 15 points COMBINED in 62 minutes. Love did far better defending them than I was thinking. Duncan making that last shot--that was just a great shot, you tip your cap to the old man and move on.

Love and Thompson did their job tonight. They had 28 pts and 26 boards vs Duncan and Alldridge having 15 and 14 . If someone would have told me this before the game, I would have said we won easy......

You forgot West eating our lunch.

Fucking hated this game. What a wasted opportunity! The announcers made it seem like the Spurs were doing it to themselves early on but the Cavaliers' defense was the reason and, for unseen circumstances, they let up in the 2nd half.

It's not like it ruined my night but it sure as hell didn't make me feel anything positive, either.

I just want to erase this game from my memory and move on.

I haven't had a chance to see the game. What were people's thoughts of the Delly v Mills match up?

Went to see a movie (Rifftrax's Starship Troopers) and missed the game. Things looked promising the last time I checked the score.Would have been nice to have this one.

This team is its own worst enemy. If the played to their full potential they would be nearly unstoppable.

I am a bit disapointed we let the lead slip away and lost.
It would have been a huge statement if we beat SA at their floor by over 10.

But oh well.. the Spurs are tough.

No excuses.. get the win against them at home is a must for our psyche though^^

If I recall, GSW went to 2OT and then lost to much inferior Celtics and Bucks team while on the road at the end of a long road trip.

This game could have gone either way. Just like last March when the Cavs won at SAS.

Was there sloppy play in the second half? Yes. Was it caused by tired legs? Likely. No 6 game road trips in June.

We almost won vs GSW, we almost won vs SA..... Yea almost, but but we didn't!
