Game 37 -|- Cavs @ Kings -|- Sunday, January 12th, 6:00PM.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Oh you guys. We'll beat the Lakers and steal one of the last two, feeling Portland. Sacramento really is a terrible match-up for us. Much like the Pacers. Cousins is one the few low posts terrors left in the league and we just get bullied by him.

Game was ugly because Irving was ugly.

Two wins was the minimum we needed out of this road trip. I still think we get 3.

I want to believe this but I'm having nightmares of the Blazers and Nuggets raining 3's off all of those hedge screens right now

We lost by over 40 points. The Kings made FIFTEEN three-pointers.
This was more than just getting beat by Cousins and Kyrie having an off-night.

Yea and I'm not sure what to tell you about a lot of those 3s. Rudy Gay is in his "hit lots of bullshit" phase right now. It sucks. They've been scoring tons of points since he arrived.

Ever hear Hubie Brown talk about the 5 games every season that are totally out of a team's control? This was just one of those (along with the other notable blowouts mentioned earlier). For whatever reason, sometimes the ball just doesn't go in the basket for a team and it can be compounded by factors such as playing on the road and especially adjusting to new players. No need to freak out and jump back on the tank bandwagon; there were games during the 60 win LeBron seasons that were equal head scratchers, in my opinion.

Also, Cousins only scored 17 points. That's pretty tame for him considering his team scored 120+ points tonight.

One of the few things I like about Hubie. JVG also talks about things like this. There is a LOT more randomness in sports than people ever want to admit. Sometimes things just go bad. SOmetimes they just go really, really bad. Sometime Rudy Gay hits cross-over jumper after cross-over jumper and Kyrie Irving blows 3 wide-open layups and can't make a FT. Perfect storm.

Yea but his impact was much greater. After his first touch in the second half where Andy was forced to foul, the Cavs were overplaying to his side, before he even got the ball, that immediately led to an open Gay 3 pointer, and then it was all down hill.

Could be worse, we could be the ones stuck with Gay.

I really want to believe this

Even with the addition of Deng this is a lottery team, I don't think we win another game this trip.

I'm usually not a negative person but this was unacceptable. Bad matchup? We lost by 44 pts and looked lazy and gutless doing it. This team should be fucking ashamed of themselves, that was painful to watch

Bullshit. He was never asked to be the primary scorer in Memphis. The year he was injured, Randolph emerged as the go to guy and they beat San Antonio in round 1. Next year he comes back, don't get out of the first round because he couldn't adjust to not being the man anymore.

That team had no other primary scorer. Rudy was the closest thing they had. His role on that team was to be the go-to guy. He's not a #1 option which is why his %s were sub-par (42% for that series which in all honesty isn't that bad).

You're acting like they played a scrub ass team when they lost in the 1st round. They lost to the Clippers in a tight 7 game series. And the year before when they beat the Clippers Blake was hurt during the series. They didn't lose because he couldn't adjust to not being the man. They lost because they weren't the better team and OJ Mayo played like complete shit.

Well now we know what happens when TT,DW and Ki all play badly in the same game

Why do you guys even watch these games once the leads get out to 10+?

Just shut that shit off.

Was just about to say this. This game was lost from the inside out. The Kings were established in the paint from the tip. I had a feeling that there paint dominance would open the game up for them behind the arc and well....

I'm sorry guys, I got interested in this season and spent a bunch of time this afternoon trying to figure out why FSOH was blacked out in my area when it shouldn't be. Probably my fault for beginning to give a shit about watching this team play on a regular basis.

Losses like these are what makes me hope that Mike Brown isn't long for the team.
