Game #46|Cavs @ Pistons| Feb. 1, 2009| 2:30pm [et]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The new Pistons just crack with the 4th-quarter pressure. It's very troubling and strange, if you're a Pistons fan. And they just don't know who is going to score with the ball.

Great job for the Cavs to stick with it and put the pressure on with their made shots and team defense.

Loved the way Gibson used the phantom pick to create enough space to get off the 2nd 3. That was a thing of beauty.

I also loved how LeBron facilitated and scored in the 4th quarter, including using the late picks from Mo to get the favorable 1-on-1 matchups. Not many ISO jump shots.

Finally, props to Doris Burke, the post-game interviewer, and ABC for asking LeBron reasonable post-game questions about his teammates without sounding like a smarmy jerk (you hear me David Aldridge and Jim Gray), a star-struck fanatic, or a complete lightweight. All of the ABC commentators became really complimentary once the Cavs started to turn things up.

You're also forgetting about Ric Bucher who sounds like he doesn't know what he wants to ask.

Yeah, I think I deliberately forgot about him. But now that you say it, I hate that guy's TV persona. He doesn't know what he wants to say, plus he acts like he's bigger than the game, or that his job is to formulate overly "smart" questions.

The Cavs played dreadful for the first 3 quarters, to me the worst I've seen all year. Hats off to Boobie and Mo in the 4th quarter. Looked like a whole different team out there.

Interesting numbers:

32-14 score in the 4th quarter

-8 for LeBron (how often do the Cavs win by 10 with that kind of +/- from LeBron)

42% FG for Pistons

Cavs with 6/8 shooting off the bench

Mo with 7 rebounds (!)

Good teams will find a way to win, bad teams will find a way to lose. An ugly basketball game, but an important road W.

Not a big deal but this was the 2nd time Lebron said "ass" this season during an interview..... :chuckles:

Haha. What did he say it in regards to? I must not have been paying attention when I watched.

Edit: What Mr. Glass said.

It was funny. LeBron and the reporter just plowed right on without any mention of it.

What did he say in the previous game?

God, how cool would it be if he gradually escalated the swearing? Like to the point where he called Erin Andrews a hot piece of ass during the interview.

And then maybe the next game throw out a c-word out about Kobe

hahaha. The first time he said ass was during Kinsey's breakout game (against G-State I believe it was??) He said Kinsey played his ass off.

I hear him all the time during games, " OHHHH SH****TT"

If they lost today, i probably would have killed something. I hate the steelers :thumbdown
