Game #46|Cavs @ Pistons| Feb. 1, 2009| 2:30pm [et]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
McDyess after the game. Shoulda thought about it more, Antonio:

"If we keep playing like this, we're going to be an under-.500 team, and we'll be struggling to make the playoffs," said Pistons forward Antonio McDyess. " It's frustrating. It's a major letdown, and I can't really put my finger on it."
...
The Pistons' past two losses have come against teams that are among the front-runners to win an NBA title this season. Antonio McDyess turned down offers to play with both Boston and Cleveland in November after he reached a buyout agreement with the Denver Nuggets.

With the way the Pistons have struggled while those team continue to surge ahead, he admits that he occasionally plays the "what-if" game.

"You look at the other side sometimes and think, but I don't try and second guess myself," he said. "I made this decision. I'll live with it, and move on."

I am sooooo glad that Antonio is pissed off and wishes he could be playing for a better team... that makes me feel even better about the pistons sucking

I'm gonna be at this game. I'm heading up to Windsor tomorrow, then going the the game in Detroit on Sunday. I can't wait to hear the Pistons fans reaction to LeBron.

I still haven't seen them lose in person. I have been to about 19 home games and the first road Bulls game. I have a feeling I may be seeing my first loss. :(

I am 21-0. I also came home about 400 dollars richer. Damn the exchange rate sucks though. It cost me like 200 bucks. :thumbdown

The Cavs had me worried there for a while. There were actually quite a few Cavs fans there. There was a whole row there chanting MVP for a lot of the game.

I must admit, I thought Cavs fans at the games were bad. Pistons fans are awful. It was very quiet in there for most of the game, even when they were winning.

Man, I love this site!

After the unspeakable game the other day I almost couldn't come back. It felt like basketball was over. Just like last year after the Celtics game seven (I was partying in a cave in Israel and got back to my computer by ten A.M. to catch the second half) that was the end of my season. I know we were short-handed, but that game the other day hurt me hard.

I can't stop watching the Cavs though, or hearing ever bit of opinion that this group of intelligent and basketball savvy people has to offer. Your perspectives and comments are genuinely worthy of attention.

That said, the proportion between the people who know and the people who don't appears to be growing. It sticks out here the most with the amount of people destroying Boobie early on tonight. Everyone should agree that with D West in the lineup he has plays better and without him he is taking on too much to handle.

I watched the game at a party and have since come home and read through this thread (I usually follow along). I had such a strong feeling, mostly because I was screaming too, that everyone would be lamenting over Gibson for not showing up. Then when he came through and shifted the game I personally thought about how he is still good enough to step up like he did.

We have a solid ten players who can do that when healthy. And as for trade talk (which I love) and Wally, I have been thinking more and more about it and keeping this team as it is really might not be so bad. I love to hear about trade possibilities with certain players and the great discussions that come from those ideas though.

But, the way I see it is that Wally is our only back up shooting forward and when you look at our complete team he fills the perfect roll for us; as well as Pavs. Our team has a quality tool for every situation and plays well enough with each other to be almost completely interchangeable. That is unique.

Think of all the line-ups Mike Brown runs. Even the Ben and AV line-up still works good enough, even though everyone worried that there'd be no offense down low, which there isn't.

But it just goes to show what a great team we have. After "that" game I told myself that it was just one "L" at the end of the day and it was.

We are good enough that there's always someone on this team with the potential to step it up for the win when we are slumping and it's always a good reason to always keep the faith.

Faith which I am sure most Pittsburgh fans didn't have at one point tonight. I lost some money there.

Thanks RCF,

Stay positive!
