Game #48| Cavs @ Knicks| Wednesday Feb. 4th, 2009| 7:30pm [ET]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I was at the game tonight and wowzer, its was equal parts amazing and terrifying to watch... well maybe a little more amazing, but despite the great start, the Cavs let the Knicks stay in it the whole game and nobody could stop Al Harrington.. I dont want to be bitching about a win, and an AMAZING Lebron performance, i'm just saying, it was pretty nervewracking. It sure would have sucked if we lost this game! but we didnt, so i'll shut up and enjoy it haha

Side note, its pretty amazing how many stars come out to MSG. Off the top of my head they featured all these people on the jumbo tron at one point or another: Chris Rock, Whoopi Goldberg, Ciara, Adam Yauch of Beastie Boys, the dude from Black Crowes, and 5 of the NY Rangers... no sign of Hov or B

Hov was there without B, and Diddy was in the same row as Hov like a couple of seats over.....

word, ya couldnt spot him myself, and they didnt show him on the jumbo tron

naturesrat, your avy is equal parts hypnotic and disturbing... I'm not sure whether to rep you or ban you. :chuckles:

Anyone know if our boy aaron made it to MSG tonight? I saw his picture was featured on TrueHoop today... I believe he's the one behind the girl:

"The sad thing is that I'm sure LeBron said that it's no big deal to get 61 points," Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni said. "I'll just get a triple-double. [Kobe] didn't do that."

Pwned.

wow thats an awesome quote

Bron Bron sure is lucky he chased down that last rebound

I know, it's kinda weird and sad that if he didn't get that last meaningless reb, people wouldn't have made as big a deal out of his performance because it wasn't a triple double. Which is stupid.

I think D'Antoni's right.

And that he's also desperately trying to get people to forget how much the Knicks defense sucks.

He makes me further appreciate the (boring) routine of "good coaches, good team, good game" taken by Mike Brown, who at virtually all times avoids insulting his own or other players.

One is young but pretty classy, the other experienced yet kinda bush-league.

I was at that game. It was my first Cavs game. What an experience.

Nice comment by D'Antoni. Someone isn't trying to butter up LBJ, nooooo. Was the NY crowd fellating LBJ all night? I have to imagine that stuff like that might have motivated Harrington to actually try hard for once.

King James with his statement :king: what a triple-double. Congrats to the CAVS

I wasn't able to watch every minute..but there wasn't much defense ..I know the back to back stuff..but it seemed like we allowed another PG to penetrate and basically confuse and freeze the defense..these are times I'd like to think MB would mix his D up ..play a little zone to get a handle of the game..

The master of making adjustments played LeISO for every minute he was in the game. That's not making adjustments, that's competing with Kobe in the greatest city in the world. He was there to put on a show. And because of that, we were in a VERY close game with a Knicks team we should've beaten by at least 15. He went outside of what has worked this season, and against a good team we would have been slaughtered.
I would understand this if he didnt get 10 assists and 10 rebounds. He could have had even more assists if the rest of the team coul have shot better. How far we have come to complain about Lebron getting 50/10/10

On ESPN they said it was the 6th time someone had a 50+ point triple double. Not the first ever, but very rare.

Yeah, the first since 1975 (before the merger) however. Wilt had 2, Kareem 1, and Elgin Baylor 2.
