Game #49| Cavs vs Lakers| Sunday Feb. 8th, 2009| 3:30pm [ET]

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lebron didn't lose this game, the whole team did...

That's what separates great teams from "one man teams"...when your superstar is struggling, there have to be help. All was good in the first half, there was no help in the second. The whole team sucked. The freaking refs calling every bad call in the Lakers favor didn't help either...

He has no help. None like Kobe has, atleast.

So what part of getting worked twice by the Lakers this year and being 1-4 against the 3 other best teams in the league makes you think that?

I think we need to make a BIG trade splash.

My conclusions have nothing to do with those games.

mo's pull up transition jumpers kinda killed us at times. We had some chances to build momentum, and mo desides to fire away.

Bull. They're the best. Don't be fooled by statistics.

the best defensive team? SMH i just don't get it.

we lose one game and all of a sudden our players suck, our coach sucks, our team sucks and the lakers have just become the '04 pistons.

No excuses!!

The Lakers are the better team as of right now. We hang our hat on defense and we were horrible. Mo disappeared in the 2nd half and Lebron was struggling the whole game. He was getting to the basket but the shots just wouldn't go down. The Lakers played tough defense on him. Plus we couldn't box out Odom for shit, he was having his way with our bigs. This is why i think a guy like Camby could help, a 6'11-7 foot big who is moblie and solid defensively.

I was/still am very upset that we lost but i'm not gonna sweat this one too much. Hopefully the guys have a talk in that locker room about what they need to do to get that defense back to where it needs to be. The intesity throughout the game isn't there anymore. When the Celtics came to the Q we played them tough the whole game, i just didn't see that kind of effort today or in the past month. The only good thing that happened today was we didn't lose any ground with the Celtics.

Phil Jackson's great defence worked.Mike Brown didn't stop the Odom.Shit defence to Odom.Bron had wrong choises. If we'll matchup with Lakers at finals, i think they will defeat us absolutely.

Sorry for bad English.

Don't blame this game on the refs. This is not all on LeBrons shoulders, but as the leader of the team comes the responsibility for him to light a fire under the teams ass, and he didn't do that through play, or voice. I am actually more upset by the lack of effort towards the endd of the game than the actual loss. I mean come on at least foul, or work the ball on offense to try and get a good shot or two and make the game interesting. That IMO is what seeperates the good teams (us) from the great ones (Bulls), that will and determination to never quit. Now this is not me over reacting, even though I know some one will say I am, but great teams never quit, great teams never die peacefully. We are a good team, a really good team, but not great yet.

true mo's shot selection could have been a lot better...usually he makes those though so hey, you win some you lose some.

5-20....not acceptable. He needs to be able to sense when his team needs help, and just sttack the basket to FINISH, not get to the line. He had an alright game, near triple double, but Lebron needs to finish for this team to win.

Our players in the second half and this is with Lebron getting double and tripled:

Mo- 1 of 6.

Wally- 1 of 6

Boobie- Complete No show.

Andy- Complete No show.

Hickson- got destroyed.

Wallace- 0 of 3, on freakin DUNKS!!!!

One word to describe this, PATHETIC.

If Lebron hogs the ball and forces shots over 2/3 guys people will get on him for being a ball hog. He made the absolute right plays but the guys just couldn't convert.

The entire Le-iso thing is overblown, IMO. Our guys don't move without the ball. Our guys can't finish inside.

I just don't understand why our coaching staff doesn't scout teams properly. Have they not seen that quicker guards HURT the lakers alot.

Both times we played the lakers Mo settled for jumpers instead of attacking the rim.

Oh come on...you and I both know and just WITNESSED that when the Lakers want, they are the best defensive team in the league. Boston couldn't do it, Magic did a good job, but the Lakers on our HOME COURT completely shut LeBron and the rest of the team down.

As much as most of us hate on Wally, he showed more heart than anyone on our team tonight. He played with a broken nose and yet was the only one on our team that played with any physicality out there. I don't care that he shot the ball well, he was doing all of the intangibles out there.

He couldn't finish obviously...or do you think he was missing on purpose?

i just posted my thoughts on where we are and what we need to do ....not time to over react, or play blame games. Time to get things better ..we played badly, and the signs of this have been showing up for weeks now ...now we have to get back to the drawing board and get back to what we always slip on when we start to play bad ...poor defense, poor rebounding fundamentals ..

Mo normally hits those pull-ups though. I'm fine with him being aggressive personally.

He was off in this game for sure though..especially late in the game. Usually both Mo AND Lebron are not cold at the same time which made it worse.
