What a stellar way to come back from the break. Offensively and defensively, Cleveland just out played Washington tonight and kicked their butt in the process.
42% from the 3 line compared to the Wizards' 6%. That is a combination of guys not hitting their shots AND defense and I thought they made it hard for the Wizards to get into any sort of rhythm.
Of course, James and Irving were the guys, that's a given. I was more intrigued with Love's play, while he only had 8 points and 6 boards I have to agree with what JVG said that he was defending, rotating and hustling and those don't show in the stat line.
Looking at the box score, I am amazed the biggest +/- out there was Mosgov, he really didn't contribute much offensively but he did contest the paint. Cavs were +42 with him out there.
Obviously, Shumpert and Smith are blossoming in Cleveland. Quick side question, I thought Blatt was starting Smith until Shump came back from his shoulder injury and then got into a flow. Looks as if the rotation is set, is Smith Cleveland's starting two-guard now? Obviously Shump probably isn't 100% but he is showing clear improvement game after game.
