Game 58| Cavs @ Hawks | March 1st 2009 | 8:00pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Kobe is the best clutch player in the game.

Kobe is a better jump-shooter from anywhere. His fall-away is probably the best in the game today.

Kobe is a better free throw shooter.

I would usually agree with that, but even i gotta say just based on this year alone, he has not been the most clutch player, in the past years before this yes.

Lebron is the better "all around player" he rebounds, assists, defends, and is more athletic than Kobe.
Kobe is getting older and right now he is the better "offensive player"... and that's not even by much.

Actually...Lebron's clutch stats are better. You and ESPN just happen to keep hugging his nuts regardless.

Can we please stop discussing Kobe and LBJ.Last time I checked this is a game thread where you're suppose to dicuss the game.Take the Kobe and LBJ talk to a Kobe and LBJ thread.Thank you ahead of time. It's greatly appreciated.

for the last time, just because someone thinks Kobe is better, doesn't mean they like him more. it's called being objective.

Oh ok, that's what it's called? I guess that explains my confusion about whether the term "likes" could mean "prefers" or "sees as being superior to".

Apparently it can't.

Sincerely,

I like the Cavs in the NBA finals this year.

Do you have numbers to back up your first claim? No? Is that because he isn't? I thought as much.

DWade IMO is a better fade away shooter.

So is Mo, but does that mean that Mo is better than everyone in the league that he shoots a higher FT% than (pretty much everyone)?

Now as somebody said post this in another thread please, this is dedicated to the Cavs vs. Hawks, and not the Lakers vs. Cavs, or more appropriately LeMVP vs. Kobe.

Great, great, great, great win... honestly we had no business winning this one after such a shitty third quarter and first 8 minutes of the 4th. Great D down the stretch and some clutch execution with the Andy 3-point play, Delonte draining that long jumper, Mo drilling the three from the corner, and the LBJ drive with 1.6 left. Still can't believe we pulled this one out. And it is magnified with the LA and Boston losses. Atlanta should be a fun little rivalry for us for the next few years...

The Cavs were cruising too an easy road win when Mike Brown forgot about what a TO was and then he went with a god awful lineup of Boobie/Wally/JJ/AV/Lebron to finish the third which just doesn't work.

Please keep either Mo or West in the game at all times so that we have another ballhandler. Luckily the team was able to regroup when the starters came in but by that time all the momentum had gone away. The Hawks were looking demoralized out there for most of the game

One thing I've like though overall the last few times is that they are really trying to mix Lebron in the post more at least in the first half of games. Too bad he tends to forget about as the game progresses, but they have to keep emphasizing it.

True I would say he is more of a pure scorer, but that is not all offense is. Play making, offensive rebounding, off ball movement, setting screens, ball handling, passing, shooting, cutting, dunking, laying (this one is funny IMO). These are all involved in offense as well, and I would say Kobe only has a clear advantage in 3 or four of those. I'd say his off ball movement, shooting, and cutting is better, but pretty much every other offensive skill LeBeast owns him at.

Neat-o stats up! What a great night :)

This was definitely the kind of win a championship team pulls out. That awful run we gave up was very frustrating but it took some serious character to buckle down and win a game in which we were three possessions behind with about 3mins left to go.

We did everything we needed to do at the end of that game. That said, there's a few teams I'd rather play in the playoffs than the Hawks. They're a damn good team at home.

If you have to choose between Orlando and Atlanta in the playoffs who would you rather play? I know the answer is obvious...but is it? It seems like Atlanta always poses more problems for us than Orlando...

Maybe not...I don't know.

Om nom nom nom...man this 4th meal celebretory meal is scrumptious. I may have a Joe Smith half chubby right now.

OBTW can someone get the Houston Rockets stats guy to tell all the Cavs defender that Joe Johnson will always go right. Jesus every single time he faked left the Cavs would shade left and he'd go back to his strong hand.

Orlando has a much better record against us then Atlanta over the last 2-3 years.

Atlanta without a doubt. Atlanta wouldn't have a chance at us in Cleveland, whereas I have a bad feeling Orlando could peel one off if they had 2 or more guys hot from three all game.

I'm sure your wife will be plenty excited when that Bean Burrito starts "talking" again later.
