Game 6: New Orleans Pelicans (3-2) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (2-3) | November 10, 2014 | 7:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Out of my own perverse curiosity, I wondered how many folks have achieved a 30-point triple-double.

I was surprised (counting LeBron's tonight) that there were 154 times that it happened since the start of the 1985-1986 season.

19 belong to LeBron Raymone James
14 to Michael Jordan
12 to Magic Johnson
10 to Larry Bird
6 to Jason Kidd
5 to Hakeem Olajuwon (4 on blocks, 1 on assists), and to Clyde Drexler
4 to Antoine Walker, David Robinson (including a quadruple-double, 2 on blocks, 1 on assists), Kobe Bryant, and Charles Barkley
3 to Grant Hill
2 to Russell Westbrook, Chris Webber, Mitch Richmond, Chris Paul, Fat Lever, Kevin Johnson, Blake Griffin, Kevin Garnett, Michael Finley, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Derrick Coleman, Vince Carter, and Carmelo Anthony
1 Dwyane Wade, Reggie Theus, Damon Stoudamire, Latrell Spreewell, Detlef Schrempf, Rajon Rondo, Albert Robertson, Michael Ray Richardson, Scottie Pippen, Paul Pierce, Chuck Person, Gary Payton, Lamar Odom, Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Mullin, Andre Miller, Tracy McGrady, Anthony Mason, Stephon Marbury, Karl Malone, Kevin Love, David Lee, Richard Jefferson, Stephen Jackson, Iverson, Larry Hughes, Dwight Howard (Blocks), Jeff Hornacek, Penny Hardaway, Baron Davis, Brad Daugherty, Terry Cummings, Sam Cassell, Nick Anderson, Kenny Anderson, Michael Adams

I was interested in the atmosphere at the game. I was only able to see bits and pieces of the game today and on TV, it didn't seem that loud. Even the homecoming game, it did not seem that loud. Maybe it is just my TV and feed, but I was wondering how loud is it at the Q for these games.
Yeah, I mentioned the same thing earlier and got a ton of hate for it. At the end of the game it got a little louder, but still, people need to be going crazy the whole game. We have LEBRON JAMES in Cleveland and we're on a quest for a championship. Get hyped!! Cavs fans gotta take a look at the Dawg Pound.

In follow-up: D-Wade+Bosh=1; Love+Irving=1. Which pair is likelier to accumulate more over the next, say, 3-5 years?

I know what I think the answer is.

I was at the game. It was a strange game and never really got into a flow, because we were down most of the first three quarters, and then kept giving up baskets just when you thought we would blow the doors off. And a lot of free throws which hardly pump up the crowd. It's going to take some wins and time to get the crowd and city lathered up to a fever pitch a la 2009. That took 5 years.

I would like to hear from someone who went to the game. The preseason games I went to I thought the crowd was decent.

As far as the min for the starters, I think it is important to play them more right now to help them learn and get in the flow. I think once we start to excite the offense better and learn then defense systems we still start to see more subs. If LJ is still averaging 40 mins a night in Jan then we can worry.

Tons of Clutch 3's Though from Love, should have pumped up the building, I'm not buying the flow of the game.
Chicago are playing trash basketball and yet their crowd is always cheering like a mofo.

You're either overrating Dion and/or TT or underrating Hibbert. Look, I like Dion a lot but I like winning more. Sometimes I'm not sure some of you guys are looking at the bigger picture.

THEY'VE PLAYED SIX GAMES. Holy ass. Overreaction city, is my problem. Not with the details of your trade idea.

Let the damn team, I don't know, get their feet wet? The Heat strolled into Cleveland barely .500 and then went on to the Finals in year one.

The team has a lot to work out. If they're a struggle bus come February, then sure, let's make a deal, but it is barely November.

They played like a sack of farts in the first quarter and still dropped 118 and won. Things will come around.

We expect winsand have bandwagon fans, what do you expect

This team is starting to do what its supposed to. Defense is still a work in progress but theres less blown rotations and more effort being put into that end which I liked. I feel that teams are going to continually have career shooting nights against us and bring their A games, which is fine, but the Pelicans seemed like they couldnt miss in the first half. I mean, Jimmer was having a decent game.

I liked that we got some minutes from Harris today. Mike Miller and Marion still look a step slow out there, as does Lebron honestly, but his step slow is still faster than 90% of the league.

The offense is playing better. In the first half we had some good looks and just werent hitting shots. Come the second half it was the beginning of what we can really do. I'd like to see more of the offense run in the half court. I dont mind the ad libbing/attacking in transition and semi-transition. There was way less of the long 2 within the first 10 seconds crap that was plaguing the first few games.

Team effort on the boards tonight. Love battled a bunch there, didnt get the numbers to show for it, but the team was +5 against a good rebounding team.

Really the two biggest positive takeaways from this game are the improving team defense and the fact all 3 of our studs Lebron/Love/Irving were ALL playing their games and producing at the same time.

That was great to see, almost as if they each took turns dominating but within the flow of the game. Seeing the P&R actions with them playing off each other was just NASTY.

Great win and we should start string some together here now on the home stand.

I will admit, tonight's game was daunting. AD was going to go cray cray and I knew those young guys would play up to their opponent, I wasn't mistaken as Anderson went crazy with the ball.

Then the second half happened and of course we all know the outcome, but I saw the ball movement as a key factor in the turnaround. 27 assists on 40 field goals made is solid smart basketball.

The offense just got going, LBJ with the triple double, Irving going completely off in the 3rd and Love making 3 after 3 was a thing of beauty. However, this was against a young inexperienced squad. We all knew the offense should look like this but I really want them to find their indentity on the defensive end. It took almost 3 complete quarters for the Cavs to get consecutive stops because as they would make a play, New Orleans would just score and it was too easy.

A win is a win, I will take it. It was entertaining as hell to see everyone amped up and ready to go in the 2nd half but this squad needs to tune up their defense and not make the opponent have it too easy.

Also it seems like we consistently are getting to the line and winning the FT game.

If we can do that and also win the rebound game consistently, with our offensive weapons we should rack up the W's.

It was known before the season that we would have problems with interior defense. We have enough scoring. Why not boost our defense? Do you expect Andy and Love to suddenly become rim protectors?

Did you bother reading his post? Cleveland is not a winning franchise yet. I know we have Lebron and Love, and thats great. But we've been a losing franchise for the past four years

Why don't you go to a bucks game or a timberwolves game and tell me if their "crowd is always cheering like a mofo".

Give it time thats all..just worry about us winning for now
