Game 6: New Orleans Pelicans (3-2) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (2-3) | November 10, 2014 | 7:00 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
A couple stats for you guys.

LeBron and Kyrie each broke 30 and K Love had 22. In the Miami Heat's 1st year together, they accomplished this statistical feat(2 30-point scorers and another 20 point scorer) 3 times, all at the end of March. It took the Cavs a week.

Second, LeBron had 32 with 10 assists. Kyrie had 32 and 9 assists. LeBron and Wade NEVER in all 4 years had a game where they each scored 30 and had 9 assists apiece. Again, it took the Cavs a week.

Finally, LeBron had a 30+ point triple-double. He only had 2 in his entire 4 seasons with Miami.

In short, I think the offense will be fine.

LeBron: 32 points, 12 rebs, 10 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, 9/17 FG
Love: 22 points, 5 rebs, 2 assists, 1 steal. 7/13 FG, 6/9 3P
Irving: 32 points, 9 assists, 5 rebs, 11/21 FG, 4/7 3P, 1 turnover

Just seen this..wow what a night for the big 3

GG!

the cavs is one shot blocker away from truly contending. the offense is getting close to becoming unstoppable. the defense needs to get better.

I wouldn't mind a defensive minded sg like T. Allen or A. Bradley as a starter also tbh.

So my thoughts are pretty simple. We played horrible defense, and okay offense for most of the game.

I was worried when Kyrie passed the ball when he had an easy layup opportunity. Worried that all the Kyrie has to be a passer shit got in his head. Good to see it didn't. If Kyrie plays like that, and LeBron plays like LeBron, and Love plays like Love, we might not lose another game.

There is still a long road to go. We out talented the other team tonight, and we will out talent dozens more throughout the year. When we become a middle of the road defensive team, then we will see the team rip off some wins in a row.

ahhh, nice to see at least one person coming around to the idea that avery bradley is the ideal shooting guard for this team and this system.

got a pretty long lecture on how great waiters is when I first said that, and how his defensive stats are better than bradley's, etc...

lol.

too bad he signed that extention with boston, but if the cavs can somehow get him after dec. 15, the improvement in team performance would be tremendous.

The Pelicans got too many open looks, Anderson was in a zone until they started chasing him and getting him to put the ball on the floor.
Blatt was not happy with the D..
But this is trend for them to come out looking to get points and forgetting how to play D early on.

Cavs vs. Portland

82 points, 18 assists

Big 3 vs. NO

86 points, 21 assists

daaaaamn

Again, it's not going to. The personnel isn't here. We are going to give up 100 points a lot this season.
22 of 30 teams gave up an average of 100 points a game or more last season.

There are 2 more than gave up 99.
That's 80% of the League.

I expect the Cav's average is going to be 100+ unless there are some roster moves or multiple players suddenly morph into much better defenders.
I'd love to see a or some defensive upgrades to this team but for now it's out score them.

Crowds at the Q can't be at a rocking level due to the demand for tickets and the prices. Many of the fans who journeyed through the Lebron-less years are simply squeezed out of
being at the game.

The obnoxious sound effects and lighting tricks also are mind numbing, even via the
high def, home viewing experience.

When did we reach the point where the fans who attend the games need brainwashing
and in your face noise/visual levels to get a strong reaction to the game action?

That's a pretty weird take. I was at the opener, and the crowd was unbelieveable until we started sucking and everyone got nervously hushed.

And it seemed like the crowd was the opposite last night. Nervously hushed when we sucked early on, and then blew the roof off once we started winning.

So I'd wait and see what the crowd will really be like A) once we start dominating on a regular basis and B) come playoff time, which is a totally different animal.

Also, other than the opener, prices to these games aren't that outrageous. They are probably 20% higher than they were last go around, both on FlashSeats and through the Cavs. Problem is just that they are harder to come by.

My favorite part of the game last night was while I was walking back to the parking lot I saw a lady wearing a Semih Erden jersey. It was the greatest jersey I have ever seen.

You must have never seen a '92 Jay Guidinger jersey before.

I hope you told the lady how much you enjoyed it, would have made her day. I get nothing but compliments on my Dave Burba jersey at Indians games.
