Game 6: PHI (0-4) @ CLE (4-1) Friday, 11/6/15

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Some guys are hugely overrating this game.

The team is fucking coasting. As it should be doing. We're piling up the wins without too much effort and with our minute restrictions in place.
Some guys have bad games and it's ok.

Please relax everybody.

I don't know what to think anymore, so I'm just gonna stop,
Maybe Love was sad cause he saw that video clip of him not getting a hand from LBJ!
Not gonna overreact anymore, ugly game but let's see if they improve.

Improve from 5-1 to 6-1?
It's likely.

Play 82 games consecutively where all 15 guys are close to ideal/perfect so that you can feel "comfortable" or "confident" with our team? That will never happen.

I can only imagine the meltdowns and uproars when we dare to lose a game in Feb, March, or May.

I feel like It is possible to feel bliss and sheer confidence when the Cavs are all healthy and clicking.

I was trying to post this earlier but I couldn't. Anyway, Delly's plus minus numbers are mostly due to coming off the bench with how bad the second unit has been. What would his numbers look like if he started? Look how much better he was just playing with the starters. Not saying he is having the best game, but I don't like +/- to determine anything.

You can say that about literally any player in the league on a good team. Of course their +/- numbers look better with the better players. But he was not good tonight, regardless of the +/-.

Our schedule right now is cake, we shouldn't have to play LeBron 36 minutes to beat the sixers at home. MInutes will count later in the season.

Remember when getting Mo & Jefferson this offseason wasn't good enough?

:chuckle:
The real test is how they hold up over the long haul, but they look excellent right now. I had high expectations for Mo and he is meeting them. About what I expected. RJ is playing better than I expected. RJ is giving us what I hoped MM and Marion would have gave us last year, and then some. Looks really really good.

Yes, because having vast knowledge of a player's strengths and weaknesses is not at all an advantage

HOmie, if that's an excuse the just about every player in the league can use it on a regular basis, because they've played for a lot of coaches. It's an excuse, and a poor one at that.

We had the #1 DRtg in the league before this game...
I believe that, still there have been games where teams have had no business scoring 100 on us but have. Mostly the closing unit when LeBron sits. Which is frustrating since a lot of times we are on paced to give up no more than 90.

Give Love a break. The season just started. Sure, maybe the shot isn't falling consistently yet but it will. He was on pace for a 20-20 game and maybe could have got one had he played more minutes. He is rebounding at a high rate and his defense is solid. His jumper may not be falling but it even looks better form wise than it did last year. He is getting good looks and they will fall. Even with LeBron, when they get more selective looks when Kyrie, JR, and Shump come back to eat up the shots, LeBron and Love's efficiency will go up huge.

It's ridiculous to say "Love sucks" just because he is missing some shots right now. You should just be happy he is healthy.

Yes, you guys pissed me off about this.
For me and others, our criticism of Love isn’t that he’s missing shots... it was the way he was playing and how he was being used.

Thing that should have us feeling good is we are still having the same issues early on with turnovers that we saw last year (some new guys, some guys who haven't played for a good bit trying to regain their chemistry, and a different system), yet are still scoring 100+, scoring efficiently, and holding teams to ~90 while giving them a bunch of extra possessions...just like last year, the turnovers will begin to go away, and this team will show another gear than the one that already has them at 5-1...nothing to worry about at all.

That's not our defense's fault...it's the offense that has had the biggest effect on the defense...you are going to struggle to stop people when you give them 17 extra possessions, plain and simple...we are fine defensively...more than fine actually...when we cut those 5-7 extra turnovers out, you'll see what I mean.

Exactly my point. You can say Delly didn't play well, and he mostly didn't, but I don't like the +/- numbers as good support for the argument. For example, it is ridiculous to say Cunningham is better than Delly because of the +/- numbers difference. Wouldn't the numbers look a lot different if Delly started in his place was my point.

And I'm glad our schedule is cake. We could only have 1 win or maybe none had we played tougher teams. On the other hand, we could be easily undefeated if we were fully healthy so it just depends how you look at it. Either way, I'm happy we have the record we have for as badly we have mostly played, or despite the injuries, whatever excuse works.

Well, not sure about others, but could you give examples? I'm assuming you were meaning this year, or this game, just to be clear.

LeBron 13 assists 2 turnovers.

Team looked jaded with a week of six nix six.

Haven't watched the game yet, just got home.. Can someone tell me why Love took 10 three point attempts?
