Game 65: Phoenix Suns (33-20) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (39-25) | March 7th, 2015

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
To be fair to Delly, the opponent's strategy any time he is on the floor is to make him try to beat you with his scoring. He has to take a certain number of wide open shots just to try to keep defenses honest (almost never works, btw).

Intentionally wide open shots means someone else is getting double teamed.

In the first half TT has 4 more offensive rebounds than the rest of the team combined...

We could probably beat this team running the offense through Delly. That's how bad Phoenix has looked, so I guess it really doesn't matter.

That's complete revisionist history. That's like saying no one could prove their draft worth in whatever draft Brady was in because Brady was on the board when they were picked.
Yeah, but TT was a reach, too, and he was in that Kawhi/Klay group. Once you realize we also drafted him ahead of Jonas who was projected to go higher, and then Vucevic, Markieff, Tobias Harris, Jimmy Butler, Nikola Mirotic, Motiejunas, etc. you realize that it was a fine draft pick, but not a good one. There were a lot of better players drafted afterwards, even if they weren't obvious at the time.

Listen, I like Tristan, but I'm not going to pretend like we hit big on that pick.

Guys, Delly has taken 5 shots in 16 minutes with 2/5 and 0/2 from 3...are these really numbers that we should be bothered about? He is playing his part, good defence and Kyrie gets a rest...and hopefully Bron gets to sit in the fourth

You could do that with virtually every draft, unless you take the eventual BPA with every pick... which isn't possible. Tristan turned out to be a perfectly fine pick.
I'm not saying you couldn't. But that's the job of a GM. To pick the best player he can. Tristan was a fine pick, but not a great one. Jonas, Vucevic, Kawhi, Klay, Jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris, Mirotic, Motiejunas, Chandler Parsons, and Faried (arguable if he's better) were all drafted afterwards, and that's a lot of players when you consider Tristan was #4 in the entire draft.

Our D is so much better than the first half of the season. What an amazing change. Can't wait to see how good it becomes by the end of the season and into the playoffs.

Love's an excellent passer, excellent rebounder, and very skilled offensively yet we have people constantly bitching about him even though he is misused 80% of the time

I would pull LB from this game soon. Just rest the man. If we can't hold this lead, we deserve to lose.

Man Mozgov is looking like prime Shaq vs. Phoenix.
