Here is your NumbersDon't game preview:

Game Preview – Monday March 8, 2010 – San Antonio Spurs @ Cleveland Cavaliers

Well, the most recent win streak is over, but it comes with an asterik, as the Cavaliers played (and lost) their 1st game without their superstar, LeBron James on Saturday night, 92-85. However, a 7 point loss to a legitimate playoff team without the best player in the game & with your starting point guard shooting 3-17 from the field is absolutely nothing to sneeze at. The Cavaliers have still won 19 of their past 23 games & have still held their last 4 opponents to just 92.3 points per game.

The Milwaukee Bucks were the team to snap the Cavalier win streak at 6 games this time. Antawn Jamison stepped up big time for the Cavaliers, netting his 3rd double double as a Cavalier, as he shot 11-18 from the field for 30 points to go along with 11 rebounds, 5 steals & 4 triple hits. Delonte West came off the bench & kept the Clevelanders in the ball game the entire time, going off for a personal Cavalier high 27 points on 11-18 of his own shooting, with 4 rebounds & a block. Those 2 received no help from their teammates, however, as the rest of the crew shot just 12-41 (29.3%) from the field, including a 3-17 game from Mo Williams.

San Antonio meanwhile, won their 4th game in a row on Saturday night, defeating the Grizzlies in Memphis, 102-92. Richard Jefferson came off the bench to lead 6 Spurs in double figures with 18 points & 6 rebounds on 7-11 shooting, while Manu Ginobili & Tim Duncan pitched in 17 points apiece, with Ginobili adding 6 assists off the bench. Matt Bonner came off the bench & had his highest scoring night since the beginning of December, as he hit 4 from downtown for 13 points with 5 boards, as George Hill chipped in 11. DeJuan Blair added 10 points & 5 boards off the bench, as San Antonio’s bench outscored Memphis’, 66-15.

Clutch Wuck... Was wondering where I was going to make fun of Ginobli's bald spot tonight...

I want a competitive game. I have to miss the first half because of a mid term I have to take and the worse thing I could come back to is a deficit that clearly has already determined the outcome.

1.)Interesting coincidence per Wojo(doubt he'll play tonight though)

The Spurs are planning to call up Erie's Cedric Jackson this week, sources say. He'll play behind George Hill, with Tony Parker out 6 weeks. about 1 hours ago via web

2.) Who didn't come through? We should tar and feather them, or at least make fun of them in this thread.

3.) Poor young fella(J.J), poor, poor young fella. He gets to match-up against Tim Duncan. Again, poor young fella. I feel bad.

im calling a block on tim duncan from JJ sometime in the game.

Better see some Leon Browe if our bigs can't cut it. Not too many minutes, but I want that 44 on the floor.

Not manning up, whether it's his decision or MB's.

PDcavsinsider LeBron will not play vs. Spurs

Hope Tony Parker being out helps us out without LBJ.

Spurs: 98
Cavs: 80

I'm not even going to watch this massacre.

We are manning up, whether it's his decision or MB's.

Hope Tony Parker being out helps us out without LBJ.

I fixed that for you. :)

YES. I'm damn happy LeBron is going to rest for ONE FULL WEEK. I'm damn happy to get to see how our team handles things, and who steps up FOR THE WIN.

I hope this is reallly because of the ankle and not simply because of rest. I can understand giving him the night not to nurse an injury but we by no means have the number one spot locked up to the point where we can afford to simply rest him. As well as Orlando is playing they have a realistic shot at catching us for the number one spot. He can rest all he wants once we have the home court locked up. I hope this doesn't turn around and bite us at season's end.

Just saw on ESPN, they reported LeBron is out tonight.

Am I wrong to not agree with the no LBJ vs Spurs decision?

I mean, if we beat Milwaukee the other night, that would be one thing. But Boston, and more importantly Orlando both won yesterday. I'd like to hope our coach isn't taking the #1 spot and HCA for granted.

Spurs aren't going to be a cakewalk, but hopefully Mo and others show up tonight to help out.

Also, anyone have a Boobie update? Is he taking a 3 month paternity leave or something? We could use him.
