Do Not Sell My Personal Information
So all these advanced stats are irrelevant? This is why I try to just avoid these arguments.

They're irrelevant because you're arguing against a point that no one made. They were using Harden and Derozan as examples of guys who had slow starting careers, but really picked it up a few years in. Not
Comparing Dion specifically to those players. And if you can't see that Dion has potential to blow up and become a star like they have, I don't know what to tell you.

What? I'm saying that these stats aren't comparable because each of said players were in completely different situations.

DeMar saw heavy minutes the moment he got drafted. Harden played behind 2 MVP caliber players and alongside another DPOY candidate. And Dion is "playing behind" Kyrie and Jarrett Jack. And his minutes have fluctuated since he got to Cleveland.

Different situations. Not everything in basketball is black and white. You need to read between the lines and really examine each and every situation. This is one of the reasons why I feel like advanced stats don't do due justice.

I'm not saying they are but advanced stats were created to help clarify that picture. They take in to account things that simple raw stats cannot.

They're not the end all be all but when Dion's raw numbers and advanced stats really lag behind even mildly productive players, who were younger at the same stage in their NBA careers, that's a giant red flag.

No one is saying he can't turn it around but very little to this point supports that end result. If you want to disagree with that based on a personal opinion feel free. The guy has potential but so does anyone drafted in the 1st round. The further he goes without showing marked improvement across the board, the less and less likely it becomes he's going to be something he's currently not.

Based on the slobbering by countless LeBronies... I was expecting this to be a blowout. only 4 points where LeBum scores over 40? damn, that would have been funny if the Cavs managed to "Kobe" him, LOL
