Game 71: Pacers @ Cavs, Friday, March 20, 2015, 7:30 PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Love guards himself on offense with his passive play. However his defensive rebounding is crucial to the team winning.

Disagree, it's his role in the offense and how we play him. He can't just hijack the offense, and be a cancer.

There are many times he's establishing himself for position, and it goes all for not. Just frustrating. I know he's not going to score 20 a game, but it's how we use him that's absurd.

Luckily Kevin isn't pouting about it and continues to play hard regardless though.

Sooner or later, it'd be nice to treat him like the all-star he's been throughout his career.

People that think Kevin is overrated, are wrong.

Really looking forward to see what our garbage media asks Blatt in the postgame presser tonight...

What was worrisome to me was defense. They just couldn't defend Indiana fucking Pacers.

Love and Irving were back to their atrocious defending.

It's really not a good look when LeBron has to yell at Blatt to put Moz in to defend an inbound pass.

Haha you all so funny , stop crying and yelling after every fucking decision and start respect your coach's decisions .
it's look absolutely embarrassing , specially when you win .
the playoffs it's the real time for complains . meanwhile everything is good .
and he loves to play TT at the 4th quarter for his reasons (I thing because TT is more dynamic and great offensive rebounder .
Give your coach little bit respect , I know you all think you know better then him and smarter then him , but show him so respect , every game you crying like a little girls

We just held them below their season averages for PPG and FG%...

Kevin and Kyrie also had a +4 and +2 +/- respectively. David West had a -19 and George Hill had a -10.

The defensive lapses had nothing to do with man-to-man and everything to do with switching.

Yeah, we'd probably win. Might go 6 or 7 though. Not what you want to start off a title run.

Playoffs will be a first time adjustment for Irving, Love, Thompson, Delly. Mozgov has been there once. One series, 99 minutes played.

If it takes 6 games to beat some of the teams in the East as we acclimate to how we're going to play in series vs. single games, than so be it.

I get the feeling though that if we dare to lose more than one game against any other Eastern teams in the playoffs. there will be much vitriol thrown at Blatt, thrown at Love, thrown at LeBron, and so on down the line.

We'll see. It would also be interesting to see how many people on the board predicted we'd actually make it to or even win the finals this year at the beginning of the year and then after the trades. Will those people who already stated they do not expect a championship win in year one be level headed or will the call down a cataclysm of anger on various members of the team and staff?

What we truly have zero reference for right now is how this team will react in a playoff series. None of the games this year, good or bad, are the same as being in a seven game series. To me, that is not fear inducing, it's exciting. That's why I watch. To see how it all goes down. Not to have some guarantee that we'll win or it won't be a tough road with some hard losses or even poor performances.

We had absolutely 0 issues defensively tonight, I don't give a shit what anyone says. You hold a team to 92 points on 42.9% shooting while out rebounding them and I am going to feel good about the Cavs offense outscoring them. This is a blowout if Kyrie plays like Kyrie.

By the way, before people blame LeBron James. I get it, he doesn't really love playing with at true post player. But Kevin isn't a traditional back to the basket, player. He can play on the block, but he loves to play on the elbow. Guess what? That's where Chris Bosh played a lot of in Miami.

Mind boggling how few of touches, and plays get gets called out on the elbow.

It has nothing to do with fit, it has to do with our head coach, that doesn't know what Kevin Love likes to do at all.

That's just unacceptable. Whether you like, or dislike Blatt as a coach, that is completely baffling.

I think I only counted one touch the entire game on the elbow, and he banked the shot off the glass.

Numbers were decent, but at the end you saw LeBron killing himself for points and Pacers getting easy baskets all the time. And they are an average team offensively.

Cavs just couldn't get another gear defensively IMO. And individually Kyrie and Love were pretty bad. Guys stormed by Kyrie all the time (look at Hill) and Love again was not even contesting some shots.

Guess you can credit a gritty win, but I thought the Cavs came out wanting to send a message and they couldn't do it. The only message Indy will take away is that this was a very winnable game. Main culprit was a stagnant offense that played at Indy's pace. If this is how it's going to be in the playoffs and the Cavs aren't going to use their advantages, then the series is a tossup. Indy doesn't have the top shelf players but they simply run their offense better. We can talk continuity but I'm not seeing a lot of improvement in this area when the Cavs are playing a tough-minded defensive team w/playoff experience. I don't know if it's the coaching or what it is.

Cavs are just the 3rd team in the NBA to clinch a playoff spot.

Their 42.9% shooting from the floor would say otherwise. They got a few wide open 3s, that should be the only complaint about the defense tonight.
