Something about those Indiana Pacers, even without George and West (for a half), have given Cleveland fits this season. I get it, they are playing for the playoffs, Cleveland is promised a spot. That’s the story of every game against these two squads this season but at the same time, I just want to squash them. I want to not only beat them, I want to embarrass them and Cleveland really hasn’t been up to that challenge. Tonight, I thought maybe this was it when they went up by 11 but as soon as I thought that, Indiana is right back in it.
Not much to break done from the stat line for both teams, it was oddly similar. It just so happened Cleveland has LeBron James and Indiana doesn’t. Obviously, James was stellar in the 4th on the offensive end, but it took defense to win. I loved seeing James tell the coaches that Timo needs to be in to defend that last inbounds pass and low and behold he made that Pacer throw it high and that helped out with the off-balance 3 they took.
Kyrie had an off game, but Delly contributed 11 and 5 to kind of not have it affect the team too much. Love looked solid again for 2 straight games with a double-double and I loved the fight Mosgov put forth against Indiana’s bigs.
I have a slight undiagnosed case of OCD and the below picture will showcase that. A little backstory: NBA League Pass for Directv sets blocks of 3 hours for games on their guide in case a came runs late or goes into OT. Also you can manually make it record even longer than the guide states but on occasion, whether it’s an error on the LP package or Directv, a recording will stop even before the allotted 3 hour block on the guide shows. As with my OCD, I record the game in HD and SD because if there is a glitch with HD, more than likely that play is glitch free with SD. As the below note states, both HD telecasts stopped recording before even 2 hours and 30 minutes, but the SD kept going. Turns out, the guide updated to the next game but only on the HD versions and the SD kept recording. I have had it where the game isn’t over and it’s done that, but not in months.
I wrote this note even before I watched the game bc I was busy and didn’t get to it until after 9 pm my time. *Like my OCD needs any more validation, with LP the channel will go offline when the game is over. That is further evidence the recording stopping too soon wasn’t a spoiler because it didn’t just stop and say delete or keep but it said channel is offline which it always does. I bet the LP guys were on it tonight and stopped the HD telecast and updated the guide right after, and didn’t do it to SD because no one watches that anymore. Luckily, no spoilage…recording went offline at 2.23 and it stopped recording at 2.25.
One of two things was going to happen: 1)game over by that time or 2)it stopped with game time left. Like I said, its an error because last time it happened, it happened with a game still on so for all extensive purposes and with my horrible luck, there was the chance Pacers score and tie and the recording stopped in OT.
