Game 79 | Celtics (36-42) @ Cavs (51-27) | April 10, 2015 | 7:30pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Miller...Jesus. he looks like me playing at the Y

If we knew we were going to try out some of these lineups with Harris, Miller, and scrap why bother even playing Lebron and Love?
Should of just rested all of our stars ala the Spurs

Totally agree.. There was no point in playing our Big 3.

No Love or Mozgov in the 4th!!! :(

Well it is what it is.
I liked some parts of the game.
Mike Miller's shooting form is encouraging. We ran some new sets with our starters that worked fine. And basically we also showed that if we want we can blow by this team in the span of 3-4 minutes.

Is there real evidence that the Cavs are doing this?

This is a big deal in the NFL is it not? I'm surprised it'd just be plainly accepted in the NBA so easily.

I hear no evidence...I dont really even know why he brought it up..Just was seeing your guys takes on it.

Jones should definitely not be on this team next year. That guy is terrible!

I imagine that they wanted to score more than 50 points in a home game.

This..

We called this before the game even started. Cavs are intentionally going to lose for the favorable matchup. It's smart.
Yet I think we can still expect the Rant Thread to be very active tonight. :chuckle:

I assume it's to try to keep the starters sharp, like a glorified practice... they did play pretty well in the 3rd. I expect to see Lebron and Love in street clothes on Sunday and Kyrie will be out there to get 25 minutes of burn.

Because it's a Friday night home game in front of a sell-out crowd... Gotta give the fans something to watch. It's not like LBJ or Love were doing anything to put themselves in harm's way, this was a pre-season exhibition for them.

Because not playing for a long time hurts your game shape. Especially the rhythm and chemistry between new teammates.
They gotta keep playing and practicing the sets, working out wrinkles and staying in game shape.
We are not the Spurs, where their three main guys are playing together for 15 years. This team has to play NBA basketball together and keep ironing out the wrinkles.

Avery Bradley, Russ Smith, Langston Galloway, Isaiah Canaan, Jimmer Fredette, Raymond Felton, Zach Lavine, Alexey Schved, Will Cherry, Jerryd Bayless, Bryce Cotton…

He's far from the worst.

Disgusting display, and not at all helpful for the playoffs. Blowing the Q-streak. Nothing positive in losing on purpose, just embarrassing. Kudos to the "conspiracy theorists", you called it right.
