Perkins regressed so much. At one point he was the MVP of that Boston Celtics team with KG. Now it's like he's D-League material.

Kendrick Perkins was never the MVP of that team. Perk, Pierce, Ray Allen, and Rondo all played integral roles but KG was the best player and linchpin of the group.

That was ugly to watch, but means nothing regardless. I bet the regular starting unit plays the first quarter tomorrow and that's it. I don't get the pessimistic outlook at a loss like this. This team cannot gain or lose any ground, it's basically scrimmage for them.

So a second unit VS a hungry play team that we want to beat us so we can really play them full and healthy to me is fine. I assume this is a ploy to keep the Heat and Pacers out of our way as well. Much rather face the Nets or Celts.
