Game 9 | Denver Nuggets (2-7) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (5-3) | November 17, 2014 | 7:00PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I kept on waiting for Marion or James to switch onto Lawson but perhaps Blatt wanted to make a statement to Kyrie:
I'm not given the coach that much credit, he seems like the type of guy who doesn't want to assign a certain matchup to teach a lesson and rather have the player's pride do it for itself.

If the guys felt Lawson would have an ultimate impact on the OUTCOME, one of the better defenders would have had volunteered to match up on him.

nevermind

I hope Blatt sees what YOU fellas see. If not, we'll need to fire him and replace him with OptimusPrime.

Shit if OptimusPrime was ever right then LeBron wouldnt be here for us to even discuss the greatness and struggles of this basketball team.

That guy went on and on of how Bron wasn't coming back.

Ok, fine. Hire Jigo, then.

Those of you want our wings to guard the opposing point guard; where were we supposed to hide Irving ? Chandler or Affalo ? Derrell Arthur ?

Well we did try it for a couple of plays and Chandler manhandled both Irving AND Waiters (who we supposedly "need to guard 1-3"). Which by the way, imo, is somewhere between ridiculous and delusional, that is, the concept of Waiters as a utility defender.

Fuck Denver. They win the next 3 games. I call it

I'm not surprised we lost. Honestly with a quick PG like Lawson, our defense was just broken down time and time again off dribble penetration and P&R. With no rim protector and lazy help D, it was predictable.

I thought Lebron in particular was horrid on D tonight and that sets the tone for everyone else. He was lazy closing out, not fighting over screens, he's sick so probably deserves a pass.

But right now we can't stay in games with our defense. If the shots aren't falling we got nothing to fall back on.

I'm kind of scared that we have a realistic shot in losing all our games this week.

The thing is at offense we can score at will, I have never thought getting a defensive stop was so hard

This Haywood contact is going to be huge for us. If we can move it for a rim protecting high IQ big we are going to be far better off.

Its all about effort with this team.. plain and simple.. they had good effort in the 1st half but Den hit some tough shots... Cavs missing layups and being sloppy is the inly thing that stopped us from scoring 60 in the 1st half.. then the 2nd half rolls arouand there is no effort on D or effort to get Love the ball in the post are run the offense as it should be ran

Denver seems to have their number..and yet the team is inconsistant..I thought if they got up on them they'd stay in front.
