Game 9 | Denver Nuggets (2-7) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (5-3) | November 17, 2014 | 7:00PM EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We played good D in the first half. Did ok on offense. Second half, totally sucked on both ends of the floor. Got killed.

We probably would have been back in the game if we didn't shoot (and miss) a three ever single possession we got the ball.

Feed Love. Why the fuck don't we feed Love every time we are having trouble scoring? Besides his brick at the end, they couldn't stop Love in the post.

Andy and TT hustle .. I would trade 1 of them for a legit big in a second though.. it would be TT just cause I like Andy more...lol

It's still early, and I think Blatt will be fine, but this loss was completely avoidable.

The only thing I can think of is somehow they want Kyrie to learn how to play defense the hard way. But Jesus, Lawson's countless layups were painful to watch.

Love had 5 pts in the 2nd half and I thin 3 FG attempts after having a big 1st half.. just bad basketball IMO

Horse shit. We made them look good with poor defensive rotations, poor ball stopping, awful ball denials, and ridiculously poor help defense.

And we STILL had a small chance to come back. If we played even the smallest amount of defense tonight, we would have won this game. This one is on Blatt entirely. Poor use of his bench and veterans. Marion should have gotten a lot more minutes.

This is the third different coach for both Kyrie and Kevin Love. At some point, it's time to stop blaming the coach for poor defense by bad defenders. They were by far the biggest offenders out there.

And let's not forget about LeBron's constant lack of effort on defense, which dates back to last season.

Jeff Phelps is an idiot. Says Dion went absolutely Bonkers. What a nitwit.

Oh, I agree entirely. Kyrie deserves blame too.

But if I'm coaching this game, and my ass is on the hot seat, I'm sure as fuck not keeping Kyrie on Lawson for half of the 4th quarter. At least for the 4th quarter, it should have been Marion or LBJ on Lawson the rest of the way.

Games like this happen. Denver was bound to get off their abysmal streak sooner than later. Our Defense needs to tighten up. Denver was controlling the shot clock and converting buckets while doing so.

On offense, we just weren't getting a good flow and compounded that by not getting to the free throw line as much as we could have (though there were some questionable calls, that didn't affect the outcome).

Team's still a work in progress, we're going to have games like this regardless of opponent. We've had games won on talent alone (Boston), gritty play (Chicago), good ball movement (Denver (the first time), New Orleans), and complete game domination (Atlanta). We almost pulled off a game on pure iso (Utah), and we've had our laid eggs (New York, Portland, tonight). There's gonna be some more eggs guys, we just have to work though it.... and remember....

Don't panic!

(But seriously, this D has gotta get better :p)

This game shows exactly why you cannot be a championship contender if you don't play sound defense.

It really is that simple because you gotta have something to hang your hat on even if the shot isn't falling.

That said, the FO better hurry and get some defenders in here if we play on giving major minutes to Love and Irving.

And don't sell me on that cheese of Thompson, Waiters, and Varajao being good defenders.

Yeah, it sure would've been great if we could have signed someone like Marion in the off season to help with defense down the stretch.

We need a center. It's simple.

I think the poor defensive rotations and help D is over compensation for the lack of defensive force around the rim..
Gotta do something about it.

Again, I like Blatt's post-game conference...

Problem is teams just don't guard him on offense and he's on the wrong side of 30 so he doesn't bring the high intensity on most plays.
