Game Thread | 2022-2023 Pre-Season | Game #2 | 76ers @ Cavs | October 10, 2022 | 7:00 p.m. EDT

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Garland
Mitchell
Allen
Mobley
Neto/Rubio
LeVert
Love
Wade

As far as I'm concerned, we have 8 guys who are rotation-quality players. Need a couple more. Okoro and Stevens are just too bad on offense to deserve consistent minutes. Osman is a spaz who you can't rely upon. Lopez looks cooked. Mobley's bro isn't even G-League level. Windler is a walking medical bill.
It also means if we have an injury to any of our top 4 guys we’re cooked

Today’s game is the results of a tough camp. You could tell there were tired legs out there. No one could hit a jumper. Mitchell being short on two free throws in a row. Game means absolutely nothing. Let’s hope everyone is healthy.
I assume we start scaling back in practice after the Atlanta preseason game so we have legs for the opener. After the next preseason game they will likely have their rotation mostly figured out

Hopefully we wont see DG and Mitchell only put up 8 combined 3's in 60 mins much this season, think we tried to feed the bigs too much today

I just got to the 3rd quarter. We got within 4. We're definitely not clicking on offense and our defense is porous.

I watched the whole game again. JB was trying different lineups. Levert definitely has the 3 spot. We never looked consistent on defense or offense. All I can say is that it was preseason.

Individual stats:

Starters:
Levert 13-3-3 with a block in 25 minutes
Wade 8-7-0 in 23 minutes
Allen 19-12-0 with a block in 34 minutes. Not as efficient as usual, only 7-15
Mitchell 11-5-3 with a block and a steal in 28 minutes. Shot poorly from 2, only 1-4, only 3-6 from the FT stripe.
Garland 17-2-7 with a steal in 31 minutes. A subpar game from him, but he only took 10 shots.

Bench:
Mobley 2-7-1 in 18 minutes. Rebounds and not much else.
Okoro 2-5-1 in 19 minutes and a block. Bench worthy.
Osman 4-0-0 in 17 minutes. Only 1-7. Not impressive.
Lopez 1-0-0 in 2 minutes. End of the bench.
Diadike 8-3-0 with a steal and a block in 12 minutes. Give him 20+ minutes
Neto 5-2-5 in 12 minutes Good backup
Stevens 5-3-0 with a steal in 12 minutes
Nembhard 2-0-0 in 9 minutes. Hard to believe he got time. Give his minutes to Neto.

Some reeaaaal big overreactions here boys.

Relax. It's the preseason. We have a lonnnng way to go.
Think I have been watching Osman for long enough-doesnt having anything to do with preseason.

The Sixers had seventeen 3's to five for the Cavs. A 36-point difference. We were 5-for-21. Huge difference from last week's game where we hit six or so in the first quarter and 14 in the game at 42.4%.

They did not have Embiid tonight; we did not have Mobley, Love, and Rubio.

Maxey can score whenever he wants on us. 40 points in 40 minutes over the two games. 15-for-25 from the field. So can Embiid. The Sixers are going to be tough to beat this year if they all stay healthy. Tucker is a screen setter with a deadly corner 3. He fits in perfectly with these guys.

Without a big man tonight they were swarming on defense and trapping the ball handler coming around a screen. They really showed a lot of defensive intensity. Allen looks so awkward under the rim at times and he throws up air-balls off the glass from point blank range. He would do better to gather himself and power to the rim, drawing contact.

Bad game... some trouble with the size on the wing... securing the defensive rebounds will be a struggle this season.

I do not trust this coach to make the offense the way it should be, but we will see. I think Mobley will save his ass, but alas.

I wanted to see some better sets our there, but that didn't happen tonight unfortunately.
