Game Thread | Game #11 | Cavs @ Kings | Nov. 9, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
LeVert can fill up a boxscore but he took 18 shots and had 5 turnovers. That usage is just way too high for a team that also has Mitchell, DG, Allen, Love and Mobley.

In fairness DG was off in all facets of the game and not being aggressive. I’m not mad at Vert for last night but agree I don’t want to see it regularly.

Watching the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show and Jay Crawford pointed out how the Kings had two offensive rebounds all game.

Wtf. I'm going to assume shooting 100% from 3 is a decent explanation for that.

I loved the aggression he just needed to pass to the open man instead of shooting it a bit too much. 4 or 5 more passes instead of forcing the shot would have been a better balance.

I wonder if this matters though? The last two losses largely depended on being unable to get stops in the 4th quarter when we had the lead. And they were trying.
As JBB said after the game, it wasn't the last two minutes where the game was lost, it was the whole game. Then he talked about the "arrogant" approach of letting opponents play "freely" in the first half figuring they can always win it in the second.

If the Cavs held the Kings to just 60 points in the first half, which still isn't good at all, they would not have needed to get stops in the 4th.

Giving up 12 wiiiiiiiiiide open three point shots vs good shooters screams “LOSS”

I watched probably 6 of the 13 games on tonights slate in real time, while also watching 4 college games

You might have a serious problem.

I would say you need a 12 step program, but you would just probably call travelling on yourself.

I've decided to come back after all. :) Thanks RCFers!

I admit I tuned out this one early. The Thunder were in a game with a billion overtimes that seemed to last until 3 AM, so I watched more of them instead. I've since read DG was apparently under the weather for this game. Obviously we'll need him at a healthier state if we're going to get back on the winning track.

I appreciate his effort but sometimes if you’re not at least 90% you shouldn’t be on the floor. My college coach used tell us if you do the things you are supposed to in a game at high rate then you’re hurting your team more than helping it. I was at the game and midway through the first quarter I could tell he was laboring. That being said he should have sat out last night!
