It’s still a roster construction issue. Denver has 7 players shooting 38% (6 of them over 39%) from the 3pt line. In fact all 7 players are in the top scoring on that roster.

How many players we have who shoot 38%? 3 players and that includes Garland and Mitchell.

We just don’t have enough shooters.

I agree we need better shooters, but playing with Joker has to raise your average a few points. His timing, accuracy, vision and unselfishness is beauty

With the exception to Aaron Gordon, rest of the 5 players have been outstanding shooting the perimeter throughout their careers. We can’t be double teaming Jokic as Jokic is very smart in finding the open man and they do a great passing the ball finding the open players 3s. It would have been better not to keep collapsing on Jokic and have him try to score 40 points and asking Jokic to make the shot every time.

In the end Denver is a talented team.

That was a game where a team with an airtight offensive identity squared up on a team that lacks one in crunch time.

Wade was shooting 40% from 3 before the one and done penalty system. Love is gone because he couldn't get run. Danny Green didn't play a minute this game.

I knew this game was an L when both LeVert and Stevens were on the floor together in the 4th quarter, not because they're incapable of making good plays, but because playing them both means the defense can pack the paint and it's hard for Garland and Mitchell to play at the top of their game when that happens.

Also, I don't know why Rubio didn't play, but when we have to stagger Garland and Mitchell that much, they can't space for each other.

As quickly as Okoro ‘arrived’ he has departed. Six straight games of single digits. On the plus side he did manage to outscore me by two tonight. Solid production out of a starting ‘3’.

In order to improve shooting we have to do it from within, so fuck it, in times of a game, spot Garland and Mitchell up and let LeVert run PnR's with either big.

Wade, Okoro, Cedi, Stevens provide nothing from 3pt lately

And figure out this bullshit offense in the last 6 minutes. Very disappointing
