Garnett Trade

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

For salaries to come anywhere close to matching the Cavaliers would have to include Z
That's not true. Here are some quick examples:

Gooden/Hughes/Snow = $19M

Gooden/Hughes/Newble = $16M

Gooden/AV/Luke/Pavlovic/Snow = $15M

just for speculation (and since i am always pimping a KG trade to the cavs), u have to trade anyone but lebron and hughes, especially if u can keep next year's first rounder. Then u have the MLE, the draft, and 2 of the top 7 players in the NBA, not to mention whoever doesn't get traded... not realistic, but fun to think about at least

Minny trading KJ for the trades mentioned is like us trading LeBron for Jalen Rose,Mike James and a 1st round pick.

I don't see any way the Cavs can or will trade for Garnett if KG ever does get dealt. Any deal would have to include Z and Hughes at a minimum with other players involved also. When thinking about what it would take to get KG, think what you would want the Cavs to receive in return if they traded LeBron.
Cavs are putting together a real TEAM that can work well together. Not sure if a major shakeup would be the right thing to do.

I really don't see the Cavs making any trades unless an injury comes along to force a move. Luke and Sasha are stuck at positions with lots of depth but the Cavs are too smart to just trade them because of that reason.
Malik Rose is a solid hardworking player but the Cavs don't need him. When Varejao gets back they'll have 5 players who can play PF. A 6th isn't necessary.

Jason is right, it would be tough to imagine a trade that could match salaries that I would do..

When you think about it though, it is a short list of teams that could do it, assuming Minn doesn't want to trade to the west. Chicago does not have the kind of star power to give up for a Garnett. I think the best they could do is trade Tim Thomas, and Luol Deng for Garnett and then Minn would probably want a pick to boot. That pretty much resigns this year to lose.

Indiana Jermain and a nodody and a drat pick. I don't think that addresses where minn wants to go. Pretty much a swap of unhappy stars.

New York gives up what Marbury and Jackie Butler? Who is going to bite on that one.

Memphis already has a premier PF

Atlanta has nobody

Toronto Same

Boston could be interesting as they could unload Pierce, who can pretty much carry a team like the Wolves. Boston would be pretty fierce with Garnett.

Miami, no

Milwaukee already shot their wad on Magliore

Detroit, you guys don't want to disrupt a good thing well why woudl detroit feel any differently.

Philly, has no one to give up really.

Which leaves New Jersey, who gives up Jefferson, jackson and Mcginnis to get Garnett? Why would Minn take that?

Like Karma said if you can get KG and improve without losing LeBron then do it. This team isn't perfect. We got decimated by the Spurs and we ran into a tough Grizzlies team. This isn't similar to the Heat we would be gaining a player or two they completely altered their entire starting lineup brinign in bad chemistry guys and KG coming in would be exstatic to get out of Minny on a better club.

Our trade would have to include an expiring contract in Gooden, Eric Snow, and probably Z with one of Luke or Sasha......then Wally World would be coming along with Garnett. But, it's not happening.

I think Chicago is probably the best fit they can offer the ending contract of Thomas plus some young talent. If I was the T-Wolves and looking to trade Garnett I'd be interested in some of Chicago's young guys and their pick and or the pick they get from the Knicks. From a future stand point I think such a trade would make some sense, the problem is it would be hard to sell to fans because they wouldn't be getting a name player back. But if they could get Hinrich or Gorden, Deng, Sweetney and that's a nice nucleus to build around.

wow, its about time the T-Wolves give up on Garnett. and hopefully they will get some ggood players for him if they trade him.
is it just me, or wouldnt it be amazing for Garnett and Marbury to play together again?

As much as I would like a player as good as Garnett, I don't think I want to change anything right now. Everything so far looks like is perfect. Can you really make "perfect" even better? I dunno, but I am seriously on the fence here.
Careful buddy.. You seem to be drinkin' a little of that Cavincali "Contenders Kool-Aid"..

Yes, we are 8-2... However, unlike those other fans of the team that sports Purple and Green who completely overrate their squad, lets get a little further along and play some teams that will be making noise in May before we go around and declaring things "PERFECT"

If for whatever reason you can get KG short of giving up LeBron and Larry... YOU DO IT.

is it just me, or wouldnt it be amazing for Garnett and Marbury to play together again?
I think it's just you... Marbury is junk... I would much rather see Garnett and Billups play together again...

man this is that unreal dreaming were going through.if we get him ill go crazy i will run naked in the streets.but really i think the trade to detroit for the wallaces is the most realistic unless they want a bunch of draft picks.remember NJ did get 3 1st rounders when they moved kmart so they have some draft picks.

No way Detroit gives up the Wallace's IMO... I know Flip is the coach and would love to reunite with K.G

I just think that starting 5 will not be touched this year...Ben Wallace has a cult like following there... No way they move Big Ben...

Honestly, although just saying this sounds stupid and I hope many of you will read it in the right context.. I personally think if there was one team not really interested in K.G ? It's the Pistons...

Now don't take that the wrong way of course he is great and I recognize that as does everyone else. I just believe they have such a chemistry on that team, there is no way they break it up... My opinion.

^^ Agreed.

KG, if traded, might end up in Indiana (if they're not performing up to par), New Jersey (if KG gets desperate), or Boston (if everything goes wrong). Other than that.. is there really any realistic option? Seattle? LA Lakers? Philly? Who knows...

But he's not going to NYK. Dwyane Wade is.

man this is that unreal dreaming were going through.if we get him ill go crazy i will run naked in the streets.

And this will be different how?

But I agree it wont be detroit. Flip has already done his thing with KG..

I really think Minn will try not to trade him west..Would be bad if he winds up in indy...

Gooden/AV/Luke/Pavlovic/Snow = 15mill

Gooden puts up good numbers in the same slot as KG
AV was the most wanted cav this off season
pavs and luke are young and need minutes
snow i'm not sure that's the filler or a few no. 1s

maybe marty as an enticer.

if minny does this they are not going to go for another center at the age of 29 who is physically 33 or 34. they have o'kandi with a large contract and injury problems. if z was in the mix it would be to trade him down the road.

they would go young to rebuild. g, av, pavs and luke give them plenty of talent to choose from. none are wrapped up in bad contracts. if you threw marty in the mix too then maybe snow and another minny player could be in their.

minny would get a good start at starting over.
