Gary Barnidge

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Gary holds movie trivia on Twitter every week. First ten people to get his answer right get to go out to a movie with him, then he buys dinner and they talk about the film. What the fuck?! His favorite movie is Goonies, then Forest Gump. Can we just go ahead and make him gm now and build a bust outside the stadium?
I would both kill and die to be the winner of that contest

...the cracks in the armor begin to show...

Amazing how this thread started off as a joke by @The Oi based on Barnidge being completely nondescript and boring. Then someone discovers the freak statistical anomoly of undropped passes by a journeyman, backup TE. Good for another little chuckle - ha fucking ha.

But then...it got weird. Barnidge turns out to be not only one of the best pass-catching TE's in the league at the age of 30, but this incredibly cool guy as well. It' now a legitimate tribute thread.

This thread is the RCF Twilight Zone.

I knew this was a Max post even before I saw his name, as I scrolled bottom to top. I've been on here too long.

Thank God Ray Farmer will be gone soon. Otherwise we'd be letting him go for more of those mid/late round compensatory picks as was our free agency strategy last season.

Maybe our new GM will value him enough to spend some of that precious cap space we hoard on him.

Year 17 of the rebuild:

Find Gary Barnidge's Quarterback.

I don't trust anyone to QB for Barnidge, I say there is only one solution:

Move Barnidge to QB and draw up plays were he throws the ball to himself.

Had a quietly fantastic day yesterday: caught a TD and drew the defense's attention so Hartline could snag the other two TDs. He got a little cocky though and tried to make a one hander later but his hands were too dry I think and he dropped it.

Also I tried to get people to call him Gair-Bear at the game but it didn't seem to catch on.

Don't tell PFF! :chuckle:

Seriously, I think a lot of his game was good. Dude just isn't a very good blocker.

Oh he got McCown squished on one play when he o'layed his blocking assignment. Gar-Bear is just too lethal of a receiver to be keeping him back on plays like that though.
