Gerald Wallace on the block?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well I hope so i'd love to see us get a nice SG at the deadline just so it could push us over the top. GWallace does IMO put us as the clearcut best team in the East because of his man D and also he has good O.

Another thing that bugs me is that hes still that kinda combo guard type guy that its like......should he be or shooting guard or ......or freakin power forward. Hes a good player for being that versatile dont get me wrong.....but I think the Cavaliers need a SHOOTING guard and a guy thats decent from creating off the dribble (good D).......I really wish we could of got Ron Artest (sigh) .....but we still may be able to if Houston isnt as good as they think....but thats my point.....we at least need to wait.

Well Houston's problem will not be that they are not good. They are good, but they may not be able to keep the injuries out of the way. Yao it seems like is always hurt TMac is always hurt and Battier is hurt now, they just don't have good luck.

We can get a good player like Wallace that is signed past 2010 and that will make us so much better. Who do you want guarding Kobe Bryant, Wallace, or West?

Id probably take J rich over Gerald. Hopefully there will be somone available but if there is know one.......Id probably take Wallace. Im sure there will be better options in the future though.

There most likely will, but can that player be had for Wally? or will that trade take another player to Dirk would take Wally plus AV or Pavs. Honestly if we can get Wallace at the 20 game mark that is perfect because he would have a tone of time to gel with the team before playoffs which is also important as we saw last year with our big trade.

We're not getting Artest. He's on Houston and unless Houston wins only 20 games this year we have no chance. Guys stop thinking out of this world and trying to think of stupid trades like Dirk, Artest, others.....think of people who are actually on the block. Right now it's G-Wall.

With further youtube analysis, boxscore/stat checking, and contract browsing.......ive decided to give it the green light..........getting G Force has JK23s aprroval :) .....(somebody has to point out any downfall)

If GForce can hit open jumpers then he automatically becomes a great option for us to get. If he struggles to hit jumpers but at the same time can drastically improve our perimeter defense id probably still want him. Remember we had larry hughes here shooting 39% from the field and still won 50 games his first and second year here.

O man just when I was in a good mood about it....... For one I was just pointing out that we WILL have better options down the road and getting a good player from a crappy team isnt too stupid .......

EXACTLY.....thats why I was clarifing the SHOOTING in shooting guard. Thats really my biggest concern.

Imagine it this way. Mo has the ball at the top of the key, passes to LBJ at the left baseline. The double comes LBJ passes the ball to Wallace who is streaking into the lane Wallace scores. That would simply become a staple of our offense and would be so effective, because if you don't double LBJ he's going to get the ball in the hole and if you do he has three other offensive weapons on the floor with him. Amazing.

You dont gotta try to convince me anymore dawg, I was already sold :chuckles: I gave my approval ^^^^^^ ......but I see what you mean. Its always better when you can consistently stroke the three when LBJ drives, but with Mo,LB,and G all drivin......its gotta leave someone open. Imagine Mo,Boobie,Lebron,Force, and Andy. Thats a energetic lineup.

Yeah really. GWallace can hit threes if he's open just not at the clip of Boobs, or Wally. He is a guy who you don't want to leave open because if you do he'll make you pay.

i know this is a little sample. but just a FYI:

Gerald wallace is averaging 19 points on 50%, 50% from 3 77 from the line, 9 rebs a game, and 2 assists a game with 2.5 steals a game and 1 block a game.

you guys have to remember that lebron basically plays PG/SG on offense so wallace will have no problem playing the same style he plays in Charlotte. and one defense... dont even get me started. one of the BEST swing man defenders in the league for SG/SF and even PG's as hes really quick.

Spoke to a few people bout this today. I think it is possible Danny Fery is working somethin out wth NYC and Charlotte. I remember Bob Finnan had an article sayin he thought there might be somethin goin on with the Bobcats and Gerald Wallace...

Totally speculatin but a really realistic deal could be:

Knicks get Wally, Bobcats get Curry and our 1st round pick and we get Gerald Wallace.

Gerald Wallace wont ever be Michael Redd from the 3 pt line, but that guy is getting better at everything every year.

If we can get in on this 3 team deal then I think its just too good to pass up. A guy of Wallace's alent for Wally and a pick...
