This guy is making serious arguments as one of the best players in the NBA, he is putting up unreal numbers, but whats even more amazing, when he is putting up huge numbers, his team is winning, the Wizards are 16-1 when he scores over 35 points. He is averaging 30.5 a game only behind the inactive Melo. The Wizards have put up over 102 points the past 19 games consecutivley.

Looks like he wasn't BS'ing after that hurtful loss to the Cavs in the playoffs. Dude was already sweet, but maybe he did some serious off-season polishing.
Agent 0 is my third favorite player in the league.

1.)LRJ
2.)Yao
3.)Arenas

You should start calling them the Wizars... because there is no D in them. They are giving up 106.8 ppg. Second only to the fabulous D of the Golden St. Warriors. This will be the Wizards downfall come playoff time.

Original!

I hope we meet them in the playoffs and hand them that downfall. Arenas is my favorite non-Cavs, but if he crosses the Cavs then he has to pay.

When it comes down to the crunch, I believe Washington will go all the way, as they are still feeding off Steve Blake's offensive efficiency from years back.

As for Gilbert, his worth will be noted when the playoff victories rise.

Wizards have won as many playoff series as the Cavs, the past 2 years...thats sort of an idiotic comparison, i mean who are you comparing him to?

I don't seen any comparison? I think that playoff wins are good unit to measure a players success. Not like he said Lebron is better than Gilbert.

Plus, we all know Gilbert is good but casual fans won't notice until he goes deep in the playoffs.

Right, but as of now, January, 8th 2007, who is better then this guy right now in the 06/07 season? dude just keeps getting better and better, which is amazing to watch.

Eh...I love Gilbert and I generally cheer for him when they aren't playing the Cavs, but I am not ready call him the best. A lot of players turn it up after the All-star game.

That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing him hold the MVP trophy over his head at the end of the season...as long as it is not Nash.

Wade, Kobe, Nash, who right now are with him in the MVP race, and have proven themselves post season. Just like Iverson had to earn respect by getting his team deep. Numbers are hollow without playoff victories, ask LeBron.

True stuff.

Nash is so sick with it. I won't be mad if he win's MVP again. I just watched a commercial on youtube.com from nike where they show Raja, Barbados, and Marion and they say for each one a career high for scoring and then it goes "even when you could have had the spotlight all to himself, he passed".

Gil is a great shooter and has nasty range but like these guys said earlier you need alot more than a scoring title to earn that kind of respect. No doubt he is fun to watch though.

When time is winding down in the quarter he doesn't even rush it. He just strolls down the court, throws up a 36 footer, and sinks it.

Pretty cool commercial.
