Goodbye Cleveland

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I saw that video couple days ago actually, it really got to me, because I looked up to him a lot, I just can't believe the way he left and for him leaving like that, the quote "I'm taking my talents to South Beach" will be stuck in my head for ever.

He can't undo this. I don't miss him and I hope that Karma hits him in a big way. He fucked this city with the guise that we had the best player on the planet but the best player on the planet needs to be a leader and he is not. He handcuffed us in trades and free agent signings. He spit in our faces on ESPN. I would like to copy this video to VHS and shove the tape sideways up his ass.

the one thing to come out of all of this, we realized that he is human. we put him on to high of a pedastol and he became human

Felt like I was watching a highlight reel of Dominique Wilkins....

:puke::sad:

I feel like crying.

We will never have another LeBron James, and the harsh reality is... we may never have a basketball player that good ever again.

I will miss his talents. I will miss his ability to wield us to victory. I will miss everything he has done for us on the basketball floor.

Most of all, I will miss being able to call LeBron James, "ours."

But I will never miss LeBron the person after what he did. No matter how many good times he bestowed upon our city, he can never be forgiven. I will dedicate every ounce of my fanhood to hating LeBron James until the day I die.

It pains me to think of how much faith and love I put into a pro athlete. I should have known better. Here's to better days ahead and to one day viewing a championship parade in the city of Cleveland.

PS, I was talking to my Mom and she is extremely sad over Lebron and called him the greatest athlete to ever come out NE Ohio. I said no Mom, that distinction still belongs to Jessie Owens.

True. Jesse Owens beat the Nazi propaganda machine, and LeBron beat the Wizards a few times.

Wow. This video really drove home the point that LeBron gave this city and team everything he got. Everything. Man, is this guy the greatest active player or what? Good luck in Miami LBJ, you deserve to win big.

Ya you're right....except that no he didn't, and he doesn't deserve a thing. But otherwise, you're spot on.

True. Jesse Owens beat the Nazi propaganda machine, and LeBron beat the Wizards a few times.

Jesse beat Adolph Hitler, the leader of nazi germany, a bunch of jew haters. Lebron beat a team named after the leader of the KKK, the Grand Wizzard, also a bunch of Jew Haters.

Coincidence?

I think not. :chuckles:

Now that the anger wore off that this video caused, it really just is kind of sad. It serves as a reminder of how sweet the day would have been for us and Lebron to have brought a Championship to Ohio and the city of Cleveland. I wanted that for him and I wanted that for us. We were so close these last few seasons and to see it all slip away because of a decision by an immature 25 year old is just so hard to swallow. He did bring so much joy to this city and to all of us as fans and it is heartbreaking to see that fade away and to view how he seemingly didn't care. The stone face announcement that he was taking his talents to south beach. I could have forgiven him if he didn't make the announcement on ESPN, if he didn't quit on us in the playoffs, if he didn't seem to collude with other superstars about this moment for years, if he had spent a little more effort propping up and thanking the city of Cleveland. Too much has come to light and too many indicators that he truly never gave a damn about Cleveland.

I feel really sad watching this video, but honestly I think that song had a lot to do with it.

Try watching the video without the song, it doesn't quite have the same effect. At least not yet on me.

Also, wasn't this song from Friday Night Lights at the end of the movie after they lost the state championship. That was a great scene.

Why does this video show the Larry O'Brien trophy like three times? Makes no sense. He didn't fulfill his mission to bring us a championship. He failed on what he set out to do, although he did give us seven entertaining years.

Aslo: wasn't this song from Friday Night Lights at the end of the movie after they lost the state championship. That was a great scene.

Yes. They also use it in just about every episode in the FNL tv series.

I can't wait to be one of the few teams who beat the Heat in the regular season.. No team will be more heated and pumped up to play than us, America's team.

nope still can't watch it. he brought so much good for this team and this city and i can't even bring myself to watch an 8 minute video of his accomplishments here because of how he left

I honestly expect this to be LeBron's perfect game, you know how he is when he is about to go play at the garden? Well, he'll have that same feeling heading back to the Q.
