Goodbye Cleveland

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I honestly expect this to be LeBron's perfect game, you know how he is when he is about to go play at the garden? Well, he'll have that same feeling heading back to the Q.

He was cheered for an loved in The Garden. Don't expect that in the Q.

Video is garbage. Nice hints at the championships you never were able to accomplish here. We get it, you didn't think Cleveland was good enough.

Also, pathetic that the last two minutes of the video was just a slideshow of wallpapers other people made. Much like the man himself, LeBron James' video crew doesn't know how to finish what they started.

Yeah I got real caught up into this video and started remembering all the joy I've had watching him play for us. It's so sad to say but this vid made me miss him a little.

Same here. It's just a shame that we couldn't have gotten him a better coach that could have mentored him in the right way and told him how it is. Since he didn't have that, he ego just took himself over.

Was that the song from Friday Night Lights?

I was at the game of "The Shot" and I must say it was the most exciting thing I've ever experienced in person.

He gave a lot of us hope.

I'll miss him, but I can't see him now as that same person. I will always look at him as the ultimate betrayer in the sport I love most.

See you at the Q Bron, I'll be booing you for the first time since you were 16.

Wow. This video really drove home the point that LeBron gave this city and team everything he got. Everything. Man, is this guy the greatest active player or what? Good luck in Miami LBJ, you deserve to win big.

Except in the Boston playoff series, one that - if they had won it - could have led to a Finals appearance and maybe even an NBA Title.

This guy built us up to break us down. I don't care how "touching" people think this video is. He completely took a hot Cleveland Steamer on us on National TV. No way I'm gonna forget that.

I only got to the 2min. mark and bailed.

Cute video.

I'd like to go back to when we drafted that young, promising talent out of St. V whom was supposed to be the next Jordan.

You know the kid who was very intense and pationate?. The kid who scored 29 in a ROW on Detroit and took us back from two down to the finals.

To this day when of the greatest games I saw and in the end series. I have no idea where the guy went but the last few years I've seen some fool kidding around on the side lines.

The guy is amazing player and definately hasn't hit his ceiling but it doesn't change the fact he's a jerk.

Things I hate about this:

1. I will definitely miss watching his talent on the floor. Only one other player - Albert Belle - made you not want to leave your seat, because you didn't want to miss something great.

2) The guy LeBron James could have been is dead. He has the most talent out of any player in the NBA. He has the talent to be the greatest basketball player of all-time. He could have led Cleveland to multiple titles and put Akron on the map - and he failed. Not because of Mike Brown, not because of his teammates - he failed because of him. He recruited other talent in a half-hearted manner (at best). He never committed to Cleveland to allow them to build a long-term nucleus around him. And now he's grouped Akron in the same group as Cleveland - not good enough compared to other big cities. He could have stayed in Cleveland, but he's more worried about the beach and the clubs and having a house like Jay-Z would have. He could have built a dynasty here that would've won several titles, but instead he bolted.

He had a chance to be the perfect role model for kids in Ohio (and other cities). He could have been humble, and not just said it a lot. He could have taught them all lessons about sticking with something instead of quitting...loyalty...appreciating what has been given to you.

"King James" had a chance to be the greatest basketball player of all time. He wasn't willing to work hard enough and didn't care enough to make that happen.

The saddest part is that instead of being in the conversation with Michael, Magic, Bird, heck - even Kobe, he's now Scottie Pippen. A great player that just wasn't good enough to lead a team to a title.

The saddest part is "King" James - the kid from Akron who could have been better than Jordan - is now dead. It's just LeBron James now...the title of "King" goes to Michael (All-Time) and Kobe (Current).

When LeBron first came here, we all dreamed about his potential...greatest of all time...multiple NBA titles...a guy who got it, who was loyal, who wouldn't be another Sabathia, Ramirez, etc.

He gave us a lot of great memories, but in the end, he was a failure...and we were all witnesses.

Great video...

Watching this video and seeing the teammates he had around him, I kinda understand why he left.

Dont get me wrong, he wasnt fair to the frontoffice and he didnt handle the process with much respect for the fans. But if your teammates were (in random order):

- "I am still a presence in the paint" O'neill
- "My back is falling apart" Wallace
- "Im 7,3 foot tall, but very old" Z
- "I m mental ill" D West
- "They call me titties and I had 1 good rookie playoff performance" Gibson
- "Im the best shooter in the world" D Jones
- "Im the best brick shooter in the world" Hughes
- "I have a ducktail instead of BBall IQ" Gooden
- "Wild thing without offence" Varejao
- "Mo offence, less defence" Williams
- "Im a Serbian fundamental" Pavlovic
- "Work in progress" Hickson
- "I missed that 1 important shot" Marshall
- and many more

... You all would leave too if youre hitting your prime and have the opportunity to play with very good friends who can ball too.

I agree he ripped your hearts out, he handled a lot of things poor, he acts like a class-less King, he has garbage friends around him and he didnt had to do the tv show...

But he gave you 7 very good years and 99% of the time he must have looked around and thought "why these players around me? why???" and still he tried to win. With that 1% being game 5 and 6 against the Celtics.

Funny, you didn't mention that Z was an all-star for most of LeBron's time here...or Antawn Jamison...or that Andy Varejao is one of the best defensive bigs in the NBA. Furthermore, all of the players you listed he signed off on, whether the Cavaliers admit it or not. Other players - Trevor Ariza, Ron Artest, Ray Allen, Michael Redd (pre-inury) - all went elsewhere because LeBron wouldn't commit to them and Cleveland. I wish he was smart enough to look around and realize all of your listed players were around him because he didn't do his job as a franchise player, and because he didn't commit himself to making it work here.

Finally, please don't tell me I would have left too, because I wouldn't have. I'd appreciate all that has been given to me and I'd stay loyal to my home. I'd realize that I had a chance to really make it "More Than a Game" in Northeast Ohio.

And if I did decide to leave, I would have done so in a classy, respectful manner.

He quit in the Boston series and he quit on the franchise...hell, he never gave them much of a chance by holding them hostage.

yeah I just watched that video and I started to get a little teary eyed myself. Like everybody else, I will miss his talent on the basketball floor. However, in talking to my dad I don't care that he left it's how he left that hurts the most. He still is an ass hole and now I fucking hate him.

Guys, I'm no conspiracy theorists but i wonder who's hand LBJ Shakes at 4:16 ? With Cavs team-mates within an arms length of him.

i was wondering that also... we had all the signs we were just blinded

Made tears come to my eyes thinking about all the very happy times he created for me as a fan and how he was my idol. I looked up to him, bought his jersey, shoes, bobblehead and now it's all gone. He's gone. He ditched us.:( He will regret this one day, leaving home, especially if he doesn't win a ring. And yeah I noticed he shook Wade's hand at 4:16 too when knowone was watching.
