I'm considering getting a 360 only because it's the only system out there that is currently in stock. But I really want a PS3. Should I wait? Is it really worth the wait, or are these two systems pretty much the same graphic wise?

I'm gonna be as unbiast as possible:

Graphics:Xbox360 (for now. Maybe in the future the PS3 will take the reins, but for now, its the 360.)
Games:Xbox360 (but you know that there will be many RPGs and those types of games to come out in the future on the PS3)
Future:Its a toss up between the HD-DVD and the Blu-Ray. Whoever wins that will decide the console war.
Price:Xbox360
Online:Xbox360.

So, if you love RPGs, you can get many great RPGs for the 360 now, or you can wait till like next year for the types like Final Fantasy.

PS-If you buy the PS3 for exclusives, wait! Why? Because the PS3 is losing exclusives like no tomorrow. Yesterday they lost Virtua Fighter V. And there are ongoing rumors about Metal Gear Solid and Devil May Cry coming to the 360.

So, thats what you are looking at right now. Why don't you tell us what exactly are you looking for in a console.

I'm diggin the bluetooth controllers for PS3. I haven't really looked into the features of the xbox, does xbox have bluetooth installed? All the games I really play is NBA games and GTA.

I've heard 2k7 on the Xbox is amazing, especially if you have a hi-def TV.

Nice try Inf! Stop trying to throw me off... I know you got me one of the 2 systems..... :chuckles:

Yeah right foo. If I buy that, its for me. :chuckles:

Xbox 360 right now is beter just because it has been out for a year. I personally will always like it better because of the games it has that PS3 doesn't have.

But PS3 is cool because of the blue tooth and you can go online with the ps3 and make it like a computer which is pretty sweet.

in my opinion, the Blu-Ray capability gives the PS3 more possibilities as far as games go, who cares if it has only 8 games out right now, you can only play 1 game at a time.

Every game out right now sucks. Wouldn't waste 60 bucks on any of the current releases.

Gonna disagree here..

As far as the basketball games, which is the ones Ive played, the PS3 is much more detailed as far as graphics. It has a stronger system.

Games, obviously Xbox with it being out longer. But PS3 will catch up.

Online, Xbox always wins this battle.

blu-ray will take over DVD, so you get a game system and the player, so the price is better over all for PS3, especially if you have a nice tv and speaker suround sound set up.

I just don't see blu-ray taking over. And if it does it will take a good 3-4 years to even out do the dvd. By that time a new Xbox will most likely be out.

I'll have to double dissagree here. :chuckles:

The details might be better, or it might be the TVs(1080i, 1080p 0r 720p) and the connection (VGA, Component, or HDMI). So depending on the TV and the connection, the results vary. For expample, a 1080i Tv with VGA cables will look better than a Tv that is 720p with component or composite cables.

The PS3 has more processing power, whereas the 360 has more Graphics power. The memory of the PS3 is split (256 for the graphics and 256 for the processors) , whereas the 360 has 512 unified memory, thus more freedom for developers. So, its a tossup. And its all about the developers.

You want to talk about graphics, all I have to say is: GEARS OF WAR! I don't think any game in the near future will top it off in graphics.

I agree, the PS3 will catch up in the game departament, and it will be close. So there wont be a huge difference like the PS2 and the Xbox1.

How do you figure that Blu-Ray will take over? All the signs point to HD-DVD becoming the standard in the future. Plus, every new format that Sony has created has failed. The odds are against Blu-Ray.

For INF: GTA is coming out for the 360 also, and it will have exclusive downloadable missions for it.

And, I dont know why you care about the BlueTooth, because the 360 has wireless which I hear is a lot stronger or goes farther. I forget.

And you need to buy a BlueTooth headset like the one people use of their phones if you want to play your games online.

the resident X-Box fanboy checks in once again, i can really care less about what a fictional shooter game like Gears of War or some other dumb shit like that looks like, ive got a Sharp Aquos 1080i HDTV, with about a $5000 surround sound set up, so either system is going to look good either way, ive never been a x-box fan ive always had a PS1 or PS2, and hopefully ill have a PS3 soon enough. so really what it comes down to is who i want to give my money to.
