Ilgauskas's Knee Woes

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
LOL Keys. I remember reading that too, but you forgot something important:

that was IF they couldn't resign Allen.

The article also mentions Chicago and Atlanta as teams which "drove the price up." Considering the fact Atlanta had 25 million in cap room to toy with, a glut of swingmen and no interior presence leads me to trust they had a major influence on Z's market value as well as Seattle. Chicago, as we recall, waited a while to talk to thier free agents like Duhon and Chandler and had plenty of cap room to lure big Z away.

So let the Hawks overpay for Z...The first thing Z said was he didn't want to be part of a rebuilding project.

I think I read the word rumor in there too. So it has to be a fact right?

AND Chandler, and Curry were RESTRICTED free agents, that is why they waited awhile. And I'm pretty sure Duhon was too. They wanted to see their market value before spending.

Let me know where you see Prevenas use the word rumor in this sentence:

"The Atlanta Hawks, the Chicago Bulls (depending on what happens with Eddy Curry) and the Seattle Sonics had all shown interest in Ilgauskas, driving up his market value to the aforementioned $52-57 million range."

The argument against Maximus rests on both semantics, and your own rumored 'source' as being more reliable than Mary Shmidt Boyer, who has covered the Cavs since I was in middle school.

Thanks 56,

I liken myself to a Shakespearian "fool"... the jester in Big Willie's plays are funny and yet know what is really going on better than the royalty he entertains.

right sure you do....

like the Bulls situation right? or how much money players make (Joel P)?

Maximus didn't mean to offend, but I feel they over-payed by years and dollars...Keys, uhm....enjoy the weather out there..

Again, re-read the Prevenas article. I'm just quoting the guy who gets paid to be an NBA reporter, so I guess I join Maximus to fit your definition of "making stuff up".

As for the Przybilla number, he made $980,000 last year and recieved a pay increase to 1.5 million this year. What can I say? Sometimes the photographic memory has a blurred frame.

The Sonics were not going to give Z the contract that the Cavaliers did.

Im done too.

Maximus, its obvious people have their pre conceived ideas and are two ignorant to listen to reason. Its just a fact that some will just hate Ilgauskas no matter what. Its just a shame they have to belittle people who appreciate him. You know this thread was about Ilgauskas's injury and again the bashers come out. Why? Any chance you can get I suppose to get the hate to the people.

Damn you Karma....Quit bringing up "Z" threads.... :chuckles:

This is madness....
