Personal issues caused him to take bad shots and dribble the ball off his foot?

Although he's been producing lately, his dribble is still as erratic as ever. By the 4th or 5th bounce his handles give out and he has to force a pass or a shot.

My guess is most teams don't yet have this on their scouting report because once they do he'll have defenders playing him tighter to test his handles.

Well, that didn't last long.

I would have zero problems with Shump traded yesterday.

But I still will give him one more opportunity.

When IT and Rose are both back, if he can just defend and only take open threes, never trying to be a PG and never trying to attack the basket off the dribble, then he can add value in 10-15 mpg like he did in the last game he played before Rose went out.

Ok, fair enough. Then what is his excuse this year for shooting 30% from three and only averaging a horrendous 9 pts & 2 ast per 36 minutes (even as a PG)?
