Javaris Crittenton is the odd man out in Memphis, and Iavaroni has made it clear that Javaris is on the block, and unwanted in Memphis. The Cavaliers could take Javaris From Memphis using the Cedric Simmons trade-exception. Cavs may add cash or a future 2nd rounder to the deal.

Crittenton is a 6'5 point-guard who plays good defense, and can create his own shot.

He's play the Larry Hughes role in Cleveland.

Would be a very nice pick-up, and would allow us to dump Sasha for anything.

Wears nice street clothes on the end of the bench?
Doesn't know or care whether we won or lost?
Hits strip clubs more than me?

Come on Max, with Mo, West, and Gibson, we need to trade for a PG who is a career 27% 3 point shooter. It would fit perfectly with the type of player Ferry has been looking for at the lead guard spot.

I have a huge lakers fan friend and I remember him telling me about this kid. Solid player who has the potential to be great. I think it would be a major upgrade over sasha and if he could be had that cheap i think we need to act now.

Disregarding the fact that I strenuously disagree with your assessment of Crittenton, one glaring question comes to mind when considering a trade:

Why would we bother?

I mean seriously, we know EXACTLY what pieces the cavs are missing. The difference between second contender in the East and 90's era Chicago Bulls is comprised of a solid or all-star caliber 2 OR 4, with a solid 2 or 4 rounding us out. We don't need another role player; in fact, another Hughes would be detrimental to our roster and future prospects.

Let's not get sidetracked... We DO NOT have enough scoring options, as Williams is not capable of holding down the secondary option consistently. We DO NOT have a solid backcourt; instead, we have a defensively weak scoring option in Gibson at 2, and other role players that we try to shuffle around to patch holes in a leaky ship. Our 4 is empty - period, James doesn't want the job, and he shouldn't be forced to play the position. Besides, why put your entire future in the low-post to get injured? With Z on his way out, we need to keep our eyes on the prize and take advantage of what time we have left with Z still able to play 30 minutes a game..

Time is of the essence.. Let's win a championship this year and the next by making major acquisitions at the 2 or 4 positions and preparing for free agency next year! Dicking around with scrubs will get us nowhere.

Is Zack Randolph the kind of guy that gets us over the top. I saw in another thread that the Cavs were monitoring his situation. Obviuosly any deal would have to send Wally the other way.

If they would really give him up for just a trade exception, why not?

We have no need for him, we have enough combo guards....

True...just none with the talent he has.

As for "career" 27% shooter.... If you consider a Career to consist of a rookie year, then yes...he is a career 27% shooter.

This guy was considered by many to be the 3rd most talented guy in his draft... and some said he had more upside than any of the others.

You guys say that he is a scrub.... LMAO!!!!!!!

Why do we need him???? Maybe because he can handle the ball better than ANYONE on our team..... maybe because he's 6'5, with a 6'8 wingspan.....

TONS of reasons! I'd trade Delonte head-up for him.... but that's a moot point. We can get him for cheap...we DO IT!!!

Where does he get minutes unless you trade someone like West?

He is another score first pg who just doesnt shoot well from downtown...if they give him up for absolutely nothing then you consider it because he is an asset, but they would want more than just the trade exception.

If i'm trying to replace pavs with a young guy, i would make an offer with the trade exception and a pick for someone like morris almond from utah. They got brewer and resigned cj miles to a new contract....

I really think we need to pick this guy up. A scrub? The Grizzlies were horrible last season. We would give up a D-Leaguer for him.

Has ALOT of potential.

if he's that cheap, then i'd be all for it... we've lost a lot of draft picks (young talent) over the last several years. I'm not saying Crittendon will ever be anything, but we give up nothing for him, and he's a better fit for us than Pavlovic.
