Joe Johnson

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Joe Johnson would be amazing here, he can create his own shot and would definately take the load off LeBron. I think he was our 1st choice 3 years ago when we signed Larry Hughes, too bad that didnt work out as planned right? I can only imagine the drive and kicks by Mo Williams to Johnson or Lebron to him.

Dear Shorty,

I think you should visit Cavs.com. I hear they've got a message board that would fit you much better.

Sincerely,
RCF

"KOBE STOPPER" is what we need at SG!! someone like shane battier!!

-i don't want to have a team that are all offense mindedm just like the denver nuggets!!

Oh goodness gracious where to start...

First of all enlarging all that text doesn't make it anymore interesting, it just makes you a retard to be honest.

Other than that, why would we even need a "Kobe stopper"? If your team plays good team defense, you don't need any lockdown defensive players in your squad.

Also, how would bringing in Joe Johnson make us an offensive minded team? As I said before we play team defense and Mike Brown is a defensive minded coach.

The comparison to Denver...dunno, that's just rubbish.

i wonder if shane battier really is available. i would really be a great fit. a hard nose defender that is a respectable 3 point shooter. that would be nice

I've got my palm on my cheek thinking about the possibility of the Cavs with Joe Johnson. From what I remember he was one of our targets before we landed Hughes, so we know Ferry has a liking toward him.

Sadly, even if the Hawks were in the dumps I doubt they'd deal one of their stars. They made the playoffs last year, dealing out Joe would upset a lot of season ticket holders who have committed to a repeat performance. That doesn't mean Danny shouldn't try however...

You'd be a great fit on the Cavs?

But anyways, Battier isn't really available. The Rockets like having a rotation of T-Mac, Artest, and Battier on the wings.

So your saying Joe Johnson isn't a superstar?

Than what is he, Amuse me with your answer

OK.....

Just use your common sense. Put it this way: Carmelo Anthony is arguably a better known player throughout the world to casual NBA or just basketball fans but he isn't even on superstar level yet.

When it comes to his game he is good but you compare him to the 5 true superstars in this league: JAMES, BRYANT, DUNCAN, WADE and PAUL. Is he as good as them in terms of game changing and leadership? No.

If you say yes then I'd like to see in his resume to the sound of where he scored 29 of his team's last 30 points against a feared and talented team who's around in the ECF 5 of the last 6 years or when he averaged 30-7-7 in a season.

Now I wonder where this talk that JJ is a superstar come from. Did it come from Atlanta pushing Boston to 7 games?

I agree with you to a point but to me Melo is a superstar to me he is a great talent, but the leadership he has is AI sso how can you expect the boy to have good leadership skills, and having another superstar reduces your stats so maybe if AI wasn't there he'd average more. JMO!

Carmelo wont be a superstar until he is out of Denver or they change the philosophy of the type of team they run. Carmelo is too immature to even be considered yet in the top tier talents, mostly due to his shenanigans off and on the court. He resembles in "his actions" a younger Artest. He doesnt seem to be able to handle the pressure of carrying a team.

James, Bryant, Duncan, Wade and Paul have shown that they can carry the team as well as the pressure that comes with it. Bryant is the only one of that group that has been involved in anything significant off the court, well, at least hes the only one that has been caught:chuckles:

Joe Johnson's run last year pushing Boston to 7 games was not all on his own. He is surrounded by better talent than LBJ. Joe Johnson seems to be the type of player that would complement a "superstar" well, rather than him being the "superstar".

If Johnson was made available by trade because ATL is on a downhill slide, then by all means go for him. ATL would most likely want young talent in return to avoid being years away from another playoff appearance. Our best bet would be a multiple team trade, something that Ferry seems comfortable with.

Pretty much what I've been ranting all day. Thank you.
