Johnathan "Jack" Conklin: All Pro RT

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Placed on IR effective 11/6; dude low key has a decent injury list compiling

Has Hance been that bad? I feel like I notice Wills a lot more than Hance.

I think Hance has gotten quite a bit better than earlier in the season. He still is a weakness, but not as bad as he was. It's Hudson who appears truly awful.

So he could theortically return before the Ravens game on 11/25 with a Kronk sized brace on his arm, but December or later would be the more sober expectation.

He's coming back, and it's not to do another TV comercial!

When is the bad news going to be official?

He has got to call it a career, right?

The upside of this kind of stuff is that these guys got to play the game they loved, are millionaires if they managed their money right, and should have plenty of career opportunities in coaching, FO, or commentating once done.

Downside is that it could be really depressing to lose your career to a series of injuries after working your ass off to come back.

I find it hard to completely relate to these dudes, but I respect it.

I’m hoping, but these guys have an ego and competitive spirit that are counter to their best interest long-term. There’s also the contract extension he just signed. I don’t know what he’d have to forfeit.

What I wish for him is that he’s able to walk unaided to his daughter’s high school graduation.

Everyone should be hoping that Conklin can come back healthy.

He's somehow only 29, and he's owed a lot of money.

He's likely on the roster with a 13M cap hit next year, and if we cut him after that, we're paying nearly 15M in a cap hit in 2025.

Second season ending injury (most likely) in the last 3 years with a teammate pushing a defender into him.

I hope he retires and moves to Costa Rica to deal cocaine!

Maybe someone would take him in a trade?

If he calls it quit (which given his injury history he might), that number is insured and we will mostly be off the hook.
