Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
off topic post...

Back on topic...

On if he’s thought about having Manziel be the holder: “Actually, ‘Tabs’ (special teams coordinator Chris Tabor) was working some other guys at holder today. He’ll circle back to that every once in a while, but we didn’t use Manziel. It was actually (QB Brian) Hoyer who’s done it before and (DB Jim) Leonhard who’s the personal protector on the punt as well.”

Looks like a reporter is reading RCF.

Unheralded rookies never work out just like jigos wife.

I was never of the belief that Manziel had to sit, as they didn't draft him in hopes he'd sit and learn how to be a precision pocket passer, as that's just not realistic (at least in my opinion). He's always going to have his play style, and watching Hoyer really isn't going to help or change that.

But, yea, can't justify replacing Hoyer right now. He's obviously been extremely productive, and his ability to execute in a no huddle offense that the Browns can fall into when struggling is a huge advantage.

But.. I'm still going to feel a bit uncomfortable going into next season without seeing a
glimpse of what Manziel can do during meaningful NFL games, because I don't think you can move forward with Hoyer as "the guy", and I'd like to see if Manziel at least shows potential to determine if a QB is needed, because there are some good ones in this up coming draft.. Just going to have to trust the coaching staff on what they see in practice, and if they believe in him moving forward.

Scale of 1-10, how much do you think Manziel wishes he was still banging 2+ co-eds a week in College Station this season?

What makes you think he's not banging 2 co-eds at Kent this season?

Same here. I'd like to know what we have in Manziel, because Hoyer has not yet shown that he's good enough to put to bed the question of getting a better QB. But as long as he's at least...average, I don't see them putting Manziel in for any significant time. That's not a negative comment on Manziel, but simply accepting the reality of what it would mean to bench the first guy in years to give us even average QB play.

The truth is that none of us here know exactly how much improvement Manziel has made since the preseason because we haven't seen him play or even practice. So as you say, the only option is to trust the coaches.

2 a week come on now a walk on on the practice team can do that. A player like him probably got 2 a day
