Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
It will be interesting to see how intense media coverage is of practice this week.

I don't study quarterbacks or a scout I just feel like Manziel is going to be a good quarterback in this league

i dont expect anything out of him, but certainly hope he proves he can handle things.

Whose gonna have the biggest hard on if Manziel has a good game? Goldhammer, Booms or Skip Bayless

On ESPN the football "analysts" were saying, the Browns should use these last 3 games Manziel starts to see if he is the franchise QB :chuckle: Very rarely do I call people on TV who cannot hear me a "dumbass", but this was one of those times.

These last 3 games should all be about Johnny getting his feet wet and getting used to the NFL game, and then next season we will start to see some flashes of what Johnny really has. This kid will be very successful, he may start out a little slow or have rookie mistakes, but give him time and he will be a very solid player. I love the competitive fire in him as well, something you can't teach.

Manziel has been named star that means the coaches think he is ready and his practice and playbook knowledge are sufficient enough to be handed the reigns on a team with a winning record.

Just moving the ball would be a significant improvement for the Browns.

While some express concerns over those who are enthusiastic about Manziels debut as a starting qb being overwhelmed with disappointment I am sure it will be the same lot who have been critical of Manziel a year before he even joined the team who will be the first to point out any ineptitude Manziel displays on the field.

Manziel has already demonstrated an improvement from August and im not sure at any point in the preseason MAnziel played worse than what we have seen at qb for the last 5 weeks.

not sure who could of predicted that defenses would catch up with Hoyer so fast but this is a great oppurtunity to see how Manziel handles adversity. how his mechanics hold up in the pockets and what kind of timing he has with the receivers.

As Marvin Lewis learned today, you gotta be careful talking about his stature.

I do agree, this is a long-term project. I'm looking at this as the end of the Browns trying to get into the playoffs, we are now assessing what Manziel needs to work on for next August.

Remember when the Browns were rumored to have talked to Washington about Kirk Cousins for a 1st rounder? :chuckle::chuckle::celb (13)::celb (13)::celb (13):

despite my Enthusiasm for Johnny starting . there is some merit that he might not be ready. The Browns have a really solid defensive and offensive line and key talent at the skills positions. Gauging where Johny is at will tell them what quality of qb to go after in free agency

its odd to me that three games isnt enough to get a perspective from a qb that you cant get from practice yet Hoyer was starter incumbent based on his performance in essentially three games.

Don't take this the wrong way but I see you posting this website a lot, what is it's credibility?
I've posted it twice, both tonight. Not sure of the credibility. Just came across both articles. Seems to have a decent amount of traffic though.

I still think we need that playmaking pass rusher.
