You mean outside of the first round, it was a productive draft. Gilbert was about as useless as Manziel.

I'm hoping Farmer actually makes the 1st round selections this year instead of Pettine and Haslam.

Serious question Keys...aren't you a teacher? How can you afford to live in SF? Are you in proper, or slumming it in the East Bay?

1. SF proper, have been here since 2003.

2. Learn to live on a budget, then when you earn more money don't stop being disciplined with money.

3. I do well financially at this point, my wife does slightly better being an expert in her field. Between the two of us we are comfortable. Hopefully the rising costs of SF don't change that.

Outside of Manziel, all of our players have shown that they are effective at the NFL, at least. Hell, even Gilbert, in the midst of a hellacious year, still managed to make a pretty amazing Pick 6.

Bitonio, West and Desir were all productive *or overproductive* from where they were drafted. And I felt like Kirksey had a really good year as well.

Farmer has shown a great ability to find talent. If he has to go through a QB or 5 until he finds the right guy, I'm okay with that. I love the way he is building the team.

I feel like this is comparable to Johnny's drive against Buffalo.

Both are flashes of ability in an otherwise wasted year.

Hopefully both have grown up a lot over the summer, because if we hit on our firsts this year and get something out of those guys it will be pretty nice to basically have an influx of 4 first round talents this year.
