Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well, since you systematically agreed...totally different story.

Not sure where you are getting the notion that Bridgewater and Manziel were close in terms of NFL ability in the eyes of Cosell. He never released a big board or overall prospect ranking so it's hard to decipher exactly how close they were, if at all. What we do know is, Cosell had Bridgewater ahead of Manziel, that much is clear.

What I read is that although he doesn't particularly love Bridgewater, Cosell believes Bridgewater has the potential to be a solid player. He does a lot of things well but nothing great.

What I also read is that Cosell seriously doubts Manziel's ability to adapt and be effective in the NFL game.

Based on those 2 statements, I'd venture a guess that the gap between Bridgewater and Manziel in Cosell's eyes is pretty large.

Also you solidified my initial comment about Cosell being dumbfounded about the top 5 hype Manziel was getting. It's clear that he didn't love the QBs in last years class, even Bortles had some warts in his eyes. Bridgewater and Manziel were unquestionably ranked below him and were no where close to top of the draft in Cosell's eyes.

Wonder if we'll see the same level of mock outrage for this as we did when LeBron wore a Yankees hat to the 2007 MLB Playoffs.

Manziel is from TX so it's okay.
Lebron is from Akron so he's a bandwagoner.
Just how it works. Either way it doesn't matter.

Didn't someone ever tell Johnny that he's only allowed to follow Cleveland teams while on the Browns?

smh he really don't get us

Doesnt Lebron still root for the Cowboys?

We got any pictures of Manziel actually wearing the jersey

And the Yankees, and the Monstars.

Totally believable. :chuckle::chuckle:

I'm as uptight of a Cleveland supporter you'll find in these parts.. This rooting interest discussion doesn't even move the needle for me.

We need to email this picture to Jerry Jones directly.

"I would like to thank my family, friends, the Browns organization, my teammates, and Browns fans everywhere, for your patience, understanding, and support during my stay at Caron. The doctors and staff have been amazing and what I’ve learned in the last couple of months has been tremendous. I owe private apologies to a lot of people that I disappointed but a very public one to the Browns organization and the fans that I let down. I take full responsibility for my actions and it’s my intention to work very hard to regain everyone’s trust and respect. I understand that will take time and will only happen through what I do and not what I say. I also understand there’s a lot of curiosity about this but anyone who has a friend or family-member that’s been through things like this knows it’s an ongoing process. I’m going to continue to ask folks to try to respect my privacy as I determine to what degree I am comfortable talking about a subject which I consider very personal. Most of you have been considerate about that and I thank you for it. I look forward to seeing my teammates next week and focusing on football and my desire to be the best possible player, teammate, and man that I can be.”

I still don't understand. Can he have a few beers or does he have to quit all together?

And look at that hideous uniform he is wearing. How ugly they used to be!

It'd behoove him to quit, but I heard somewhere that he went to the facility more because he needed to change his constant partying lifestyle. I guess it was "not for one specific substance or addiction". Can't confirm it, but it will not be a good look for him to be seen drinking.

If you are in for substance abuse, the desired path is no drugs or alcohol ever. Not socially, not a beer here or there. Nothing.
