Johnny Manziel: Swan Won't Return His Calls

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

From pocket: 65.3% completion percentage and 71.1% accuracy percentage = -8.3 PFF grade

Outside pocket: 40% completion percentage and 68% accuracy percentage = 1.8 PFF grade

ok....

There was a mention of the big H not too long ago.
Hemorrhoids do suck

ok....

It means that he completes passes for very few yards, no touchdowns and most of his turnovers from the pocket.

While outside of the pocket he completes bombs and big plays.

Well... 128 attempts on the season isn't exactly a massive sample size to say that those claims will hold true over the course of an entire season/career, at least in my opinion.

also, elaborating on that further... would be curious to look at the distribution of 'big plays' in the passing game that come from within the pocket vs. outside the pocket... conventional wisdom would suggest that there is higher 'risk' with pass attempts outside the pocket, but they lead to a higher % of bigger plays across a league-wide sample.

That depends upon the play. When Flip calls a designed bootleg pass, there is less risk. At times, it seems the pass is designed to be from the pocket but Manziel scrambles out toward the sideline for more breathing room. Those are certainly higher risk because receivers break their routes off.

Definitely cocain. In and out of your system, its a party drug, dude is always partying.

It's cocaine.

I would bet an ounce of blow that Johnny has a cocaine problem. And I would bet a crack rock his idiot girlfriend is into it too.

I'll give you 1/500 odds that Coll Crowley is into it. No, I didn't mean 500/1. :chuckle:

Here's to hoping he doesn't hemorrhage what little value he has left these last 4 weeks! Jerry Jones still needs an offensive leader with Hardy being the leader of the defense.

:fnd (2):

I don't really get the Manziel hate on here, to be honest, aside from his maturity issues. There are a ton of players in the NFL that party just as hard and harder...they just don't produce headlines / get attention like Manziel. He's a spoiled rich kid who wasn't given a fair shake this year. There are worse players in the NFL still collecting paychecks...still beloved by the fans. The only difference is that the Johnny Football hype train the MEDIA created back in his A & M days has played a huge part in his off-the-field issues and now that he has achieved some bullshit level of TMZ-style notoriety for partying, this will likely be a recurring theme throughout his career.

He has never been put in any position to succeed bc of Pettine and Farmer's ineptitude. He has grown as a player despite those two. If you guys think the next "stud QB" coming out of college is the answer, so be it. The problems with this team are MUCH bigger than the QB, i'll tell you that much.

I'm so sick of the same retread posts like this one...

Here's where you're wrong. The media didn't create anything. He did. They just capitalized on it.

And if you really think he's improved "in spite of" the two people who have consistently given him "second" chances, then you're braindead. Never put in a position to succeed? The guy has been handed golden opportunities that he's routinely pissed (blown?) away.

Give me a GD break.

I think you forgot to add.
