Josh Howard recently got some press for his "unpatriotic" remarks, the second time he's gotten in trouble with the media in the past 6 months or so (the first one being from his comments on marijuana). Outside the Lines had some members of the media on the program that both seemed to think he'd be traded, though Cuban still supports him.

I think Howard would be a great fit for us... a guy that can score 20 points a game and be the defender we need on the perimeter. With Jason Kidd aging, I was thinking we could build a deal around Delonte West. Any thoughts?

Just say no to Josh Howard. He doesn't shoot at a high enough percentage from the field to be worthwhile for our starting 2.

He is bad in the clutch like his buddy Dirk.

Josh is kind of a low character player that IMO is a top 20 player in the league, he is just better suited to stay in dallas. That being said if we could get him for next to nothing and they threw in a pick I would take him. He is to me the type of guy that can turn a good team into a bad team just based on attitude. I don't know if anyone follows hockey, but look at what Ray Emery did to the Ottawa Senators last year. They were off to the best start in NHL history, then Emery decides to start acting up missing practice, showing up late, stuff like that. Bang the team goes from like a 13-1 start and first in the east to finish the season 43-31-8 for 94 points and tied for the 8 seed. That is just rediculous that one sour apple can do that to a team, now not that this could happen to a team with LeBron James on it because of his supreme skill but I am just amking an example.

Dirk isn't bad in the clutch. Watch some games with him. He is bad when he has to take a team on his back with down by 20 or something. but when it comes to the last shot in the game he is one of the best

i think the only chance to get Howard is, that dallas is going DOWN, and that means that they are really bad near the deadline, just like the Joe Johnson thing.

i'm not sure if Howard is a good fit, but why not...

Who cares if he is bad in the clutch. We have this guy on our team who is going to take all of the final shots, or he is going to pass to who he believes will win the game.

i don't think josh howard is a ferry type player anymore(after his comments/attitude)...he reminds me of ron artest....but if we can snatch him for cheap why not...

Looking good, the Mavs look like a complete and utter mess right now, hopefully they can keep that up till the deadline :)

Yeah except Josh is a team "CANCER" sort of. So we won't get him.

good point...the mavs look terrible right now

Will be reallllly interesting to see what they do at the deadline...

Wally for J Kidd???? haha

No offense dude, but you seem to think that anyone who can score well, and is potentially available, would be a "good fit for us."

I think you need to watch a couple Cavs games, think about what we REALLY need, and then raise your standards for trade possibilities.

He's not a team cancer, when has anyone from inside the Mavs organization said anything bad about him? He's said some boneheaded things in the media but that doesnt make him a cancer, just an idiot that shouldnt really do much other than play basketball.

if dallas want to rebuild, which they will soon we really need to make a strong push for Dirk.

Wally, Wright, 1st, pavs, av for Dirk, Dampier (bad contract)

then trade eric snow +2nd for john salmons (sac is trying to get '10 cap space)

Mo will/ Delonte
Salmons/ Boobie
Bron/ Kinsey/ Jawad
dirk/ Ben/ JJ
Big Z/ Damp

*wakes up from a wet dream*
