That's an even better reason NOT to get him. We already have a pretty good 3.
Only dallas person i'd get is dirk.

Josh Howard is athletic enough to play the 2, he is the same size as Pavs and just as athletic. And for the person who said he doesn't shoot a high enough percentage, that is bs the guy shoots like 45-47% from the field for his career which is good. Plus he is a willing defender and a very good rebounder for his size.
He would be a good fit, it would just depend on what we are giving up and taking in because it might take us taking on a contract like Dampier's and i wouldn't be willing to do that. I had thought about it but Dampier is extremely over paid and has 3yrs left on his deal.

I don't see anyway we can get Dirk, we can offer AV/Wally/picks but thats not enough talent imo. Yea you want to rebuild and shed cap but for a player like Dirk you want some talent also. AV would be a good piece for them if they decided to sign him long term but i don't think thats enough talent. In the KG deal Minny got Al Jefferson.......

Yeah we really don't have the talent unless we trade JJ, Sasha Kaun, DJ3 and all of our draft picks this year and next. Dirk is more of a fairy tale ending than a realistic possibilty, unless Dallas is really terrible. Which if they are really terrible then a lot of teams can offer way more for Dirk than we can. One comes to mind right now and that's Portland who if i'm not mistaken is shopping a rather large contract and looking for a vet big.
