JR Smith

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Alright, dude has a license to shoot now it seems...who knows how it will turn out. Opportunity of a lifetime to prove himself.

JR for 20+ on Sunday. No other choice.

ON offense, that's the conundrum of J.R. Smith. How many bad shots did he make against Atlanta? That's what he does. He takes and makes bad shots. WHen they aren't going in, you're left wondering why anyone would shoot so many step back threes. When they're going in, he looks like the best 6th man in the league.
It seems like they are always going in though. It feels like last game was his first bad game of the year. Hopefully he goes lights out from three next game.

I hope the quality of GSW defenders was not the issue in the second half.
He was probably due for a game like that. I get a feeling with JR that he is a bit like a gambler who keeps playing on a losing streak. He is trying to make up for missed shots with more attempts. That was the first time we saw bad shots and misses from him. I also hope it is one game. But I'm just concerned that after he hit 3 early Kerr told his guys to stick to him and he couldn't get it going against the length and athleticism they got. I will take JR delusional grade confidence over anyone's though.the man doesn't give a fuck and we just need to hope that the misses that among other things cost us game 1 will
be nasty daggers in game 2

JR had a bad game....it happens. A lot of basketball left to play and I think he along with the rest of the guys in the rotation will step up their games. They have all season and postseason so far so I'm not going to kill him for an off game. Lets get this W on Sunday.

Make no mistake, he is dropping near 25 on Sunday. He is going to make shots that make Curry blush.

He didn't have a bad game. He hit some big shots when we needed them. That corner three he hit helped spark our largest run of the game.

J.R.'s a shooter. Shooters can be on and off. It's normal for them to hit 8 straight threes. It's also normal for them to miss 8 straight threes. Curry and Thompson couldn't hit the broadside of a barn for much of the game from three. Unfortunately, Curry and Thompson had leeway with how many weapons/bodies they had. We didn't. And J.R. knew this. When he felt cold, he was trying to attack the basket or move off-ball to get more comfortable looks.

If he has a bad Finals, how quickly does the fan base turn in him? He has been elevated I recent weeks to a ' sign at all costs' guy but what happens to this fan opinion if he continues to have issues?

It will be pretty pathetic for a fan base to turn on him for a bad series after all he's done for Cleveland. Are you saying that we should turn on him in he has a poor series when three starters are out?

He has been amazing for us and a great great player. I wouldn't turn on him unless he goes AWOL for a whole season, maybe.

Maybe a dumb question, but can they run a pick and pop with LeBron as the screener, so if a defender cheats he is off to the basket? Or is JR too much of a solo artist?

Well they can, the question is - is JR good enough of a passer and can he read the defense well enough?
It's not as easy as it looks. Getting the pass correctly, at the right pace, at the right time. It's a split second decision and one of the things that separates great PGs.
