I know there a few of you on this forum that are from Chicago or are living here now. I just moved here last night am wondering if you know of any "rules to live by" in Chicago. Due to the circumstances, my situation is pretty unstable and I just want to make sure I give myself the best chance of success. I know this is all pretty vague, but I am just throwing it out there.

Alright, thanks for anything.

Go to Buddy Guy's. Coolest bar I've ever been to.

Where an LBJ jersey to a Bull's game. Not even a Cavs game, just any Bulls game.

Get used to being on RCF ALOT!!! I miss all my drinking buddies and being able to walk into sportsbars anytime and find some random peeps who love my teams just teh same and are good for timely drunken high fives

When I first moved down here, I was posting in the live game forums like every 2 seconds on game nights. I've slowed down since I found some hang out buddies down here, but still... RCF kept me sane

I only know the very cheapest bars. Are you in the city or in the burbs? We should really find a place with League Pass and have an RCF chicago branch night. There are a couple of places in Lincoln Square. Chicago is a lot like Cleveland, there are just more neighborhoods with different vibes. It really depends on what you are into.

Stay away from the abundance of crooked politicians.

I am like 10 blocks north of Wrigley Field. I would be down with a RFC night.

Boystown? :uhh:

There's a bar called the Manhole you may enjoy. :uhh:

You know I'm kidding. Welcome to Chicago. Unfortunately, you moved here at the worst time...winter. Wait till summer hits and the skanks are runnin all over Lake Shore Drive. I'm up in the NW burbs - Grayslake. About 10 miles west of Six Flags Great America (kiddie park compared to Cedar Point).

Good. Now you can watch Gooden and Larry all the time!

Lucky you man! I live in Chi-Town also, well in Waukgen. Lou's deep dish is very good and so is Girdono's(sp). Mhmm places to go for drinks bascially every were is unique and great, just not he ones were you can see the giant rats in the ally's. Navy Pier is nice really good for familys. Bears games are fun and so are cubs game's. Never been to the United Center so cant say anything. If you want to get good seats for cheap take a trip up to Bradley Arena(Bucks Arena) and see a game. I might be a little bit of drive but I got great seats for $25 on stub hub. They play the cavs in Feb.
