Kendrick Perkins - Canton's Enforcer

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Perkins has been absolutely awful in the last couple of years.

I'd rather have a big that can score, because we still need it in the bench IMO. TT, Shumpert, Delly, Marion, all are more defensive than offensive.

But there aren't many options there. Blatche or Stoudemire would be the best.

Anyway, we needed a 4th big. Let's hope he can provide some defense.

Fortunately what you would rather have means

JACK

FUCK ING

SQUAT!!!

This is the enforcer they needed if the playoff opponent decides to play dirty. If your remember the first time around with LeBron in Cleveland, an enforcer is very much needed. Z tried to be an enforcer, but he was not that intimidating. Ben was a good enforcer, but had to play too many minutes. This is the 10th man, maybe not even a rotation player. But he is absolutely going to stop teams from taking liberties with our skill players.

And what did it cost the team? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

The 96 minutes a game at C and PF was proving too much for just 3 guys to handle, especially if anyone got a bump or in foul trouble. Perkins doesn't offer a lot but won't be asked to provide much and it upgrades a hole on the roster.

Not excited.. Perkins is awful.

Lol...

But yeah, Perkins sucks. Ask any OKC fan.. He's garbage.

I know, I know... some folks are hype, but sorry, this dude is not any good.

Wish we had gone after a different player for our 4th big, but whatever; this isn't the position that's going to make or break us. I've still got the Cavs as a slight favorite to win it all.

There's a difference between sucking while making 9 million dollars and starting and sucking while making the league minimum and playing 10-15 minutes a night.

Actually Enes Kanter was the reason. And I would take Kanter over Perk in a minute too.

But they did have enough use for him to use him for 19 minutes a game, correct?

(Perkins averaged 19 minutes a game for the Thunder this season, scoring 4 points and grabbing 5.5 rebounds a night.)

Hey, he's a backup. No more. But that's all we need.

Yes. But, the Cavs don't need Kanter though. Kanter is quite poor defensively. He has a really good offensive game but with LeBron, Kyrie and Love being there, Cavs don't need another player who would provide on the offensive end. Not saying Perkins is better than Kanter or anything but each team has its own needs. I think those who don't like this signing would be surprised with Perk and end up warming up to him.

Anyway, you ain't getting Dwight Howard or Marc Gasol to play as a fourth big. So, obviously you will get some big with some flaws and aspects in which Perk has flaws in his game won't be something which the Cavs need. He is being bought for his toughness, experience, leadership and more importantly, those 10 odd minutes which would give Mozgov some good rest and give him the license to attack/defend more aggressively because there is a secure option should he get into fould trouble.

People are missing the point of this. We needed a 4th big to come off the bench and give us decent minutes when needed. Would you rather see Haywood? Who would you have signed that's available? Perkins isn't going to get significant minutes. Hes here to come in when we need a capable big. Would you rather see James Jones playing PF like the game when Love was out? Perkins is capable of playing good defense and protecting the rim for the 5 to 10 minutes he's needed. He's also capable of stepping in and playing signicant minutes when one of other bigs is out for a game. That's all this signing was and he fits well. It adds depth. We needed that. If you don't see that and can't give me a better option that was available I dont know what to tell you. The only better option was Sanders and it doesn't seem like he is returning to basketball this year.

Can Perkins really defend the rim at this point? Honest question.
