To a non native English speaker Irony can sometimes get lost.. Sorry^^ Im German

Just understand allot of us here were not in panic mode after the trade and knew it would take the most time for Love to adjust.

Now that it is working out very well, we will be making jokes. Thats what allot of us do here.

Love's value is so high right now that you can trade him for Aldridge!!
I remember the fools that thought Aldridge was the better player. I have always thought Aldridge was an overrated chucker and now he has fallen off a cliff and looks disinterested and is constantly pouting in SA.

Cavs will soon be able to trade Love for Davis on that pace.

LMA was a very good player with Portland in his last three seasons there tbh. Even currently he is a good player. I think there was a genuine case of comparison between the two a year or two earlier but if you had asked me then as well, I would have preferred Love for LMA.

Firstly in terms of fit, LMA isn't a better fit than Love. Love is also 3 years younger than LMA. And last but not the least, in terms of sheer ability, especially on the offensive end, Love is arguably Top-10 in the league.

Yeah he was a good scorer in Portland but I never liked his game and he never had superstar impact unlike Love in Minny.
I don't think a contested long 2 is the way to go in today's league no matter how talented you are.

@jking948 Are you ready to bump this man up your list?

Can we all take a moment to point and laugh at the publications that had him as the 40th best player in the league.

I seriously don't know why you keep inferring I had Love exactly where SLAM magazine did. I said five times that I thought he was ranked too-low. My only contestation was that he is not a top-15/20 player in the NBA. Below I've made two lists: players that are better than Love; and players that you could argue are better than Love. Note, I am not saying I would rather have these guys on the Cavs - in that case, Love is a top-10 player to pair with Kyrie and LBJ - but just, in a vacuum, who are more talented/shown more.

Players Definitely Better Than Love:
1) LeBron
2) Harden
3) Westbrook
4) KD
5) Curry
6) Kawhi
7) Paul George
8) Chris Paul
9) Blake Griffin
10) Marc Gasol
11) Damian Lillard
12) Boogie Cousins
13) AD
14) Giannis
15) KAT
16) DeRozan
17) Jimmy Butler

Players At The Same Level Or Possibly Better/Worse Than Love:
18) Kyle Lowry
19) Al Horford
20) Isaiah Thomas
21) Kemba Walker
22) Carmelo
23) Porzingis
24) Wade
25) Millsap
26) John Wall
27) Draymond Green
28) Klay Thompson

29) LaMarcus Aldridge
30) Gordon Hayward
31) CJ McCollum
32) Kyrie Irving

I've italicized the players who I think are better than Love. With that said, and assuming I haven't missed any names, I have Love as the 25th best player in the NBA. Given his performance this season, I do believe you can put him as high as 20th. He's a great fucking player, and we are finally using him correctly, so I'm excited about that. The SLAM Magazine ranking was definitely too low, as I said at the time, but I was referring to people saying he was a top-15 player in the NBA.

Let's slow down now. Lots of opinion and conjecture there. Cannot be on board with Boogie being better than Love. Neither can I with Gasol.

And the 2nd list..... Better or worse? That's quite an observation....

It's all good though.... He's finally getting the recognition he deserves here in Cleveland.

Boogie is better

Now on THIS team I wouldn't trade Love for Boogie because he fits better

Woe, hold on there I never once inferred any such thing. I just wanted to know if he moved up your list now that he is showing what he is truly capable of. I had him ranked higher than you and was wondering if were are seeing more ye to eye on that now.

The nelson pic and comment was directed at the publications, not you.

I don't think he is. Kevin most certainly did a better job of leading a bad team when he was top dog with better stats to boot. Cousins has never broken +.2 win shares per 40 while love has done that for a full season in minny and is doing it now in Cleveland. This season and career Love is a much more efficient scorer and they are both similar on the glass(love being slightly superior career and he's better this season).

I think Boogie Cousins is a loser that will always be on a losing team. After watching him this summer. I know it was just team USA, but he's developed a lot of awful habits, and it makes me wonder if this asshole can co-exist in any situation. I would never take this guy over Love.

Boogie can't handle playing regular season games without freaking out and getting T'd up all the time. I can only imagine the mental breakdown he'd have in the tense atmosphere of the playoffs. He'd lose his mind the second draymond kicked him and would be out the whole series, if he's not banned for the rest of the finals before hand.
