I think getting Paul George to commit here is the best way to convince Lebron to stay.

Even with our teams limited options, I'd be against breaking up our team but if Kyries gone I say tear the house down and try to build a better team to challenge the Warriors. It's gonna take time and lots of luck to get the right pieces but I think this whole Ky trade situation forces us to do so.

Unlike 2014, when this teams core was built...we were expecting to face teams like the Spurs,OKC, Clippers in the finals. Golden State kinda came out of nowhere and we match up horribly with them...especially with Kd on the roster now.

At least now...if we re-tool, we know exactly who we have to beat for the foreseeable future so we can plan accordingly. Doesn't mean we'll get the pieces we need, but at least we won't be caught off guard if we do decide to through with a personnel change...

What do you guys think will happen with Love if Ky is eventually traded?

With Ky or without (depending what we get in return) I have a hard time seeing us beat the Warriors next year. Should we take a look at what we can get for Love again and re-tool the roster this year? And try to dump the trash (Shump, Jefferson etc)

It'll mean starting from scratch again but we should try to put together a better roster to compete with GS...IF our Big 3s time is done playing together.

Is it better to blow the whole thing up now and hopefully by next summer we have more options regarding our roster and we're in a better position to keep Lebron if we play our cards right this year?

Because if we do nothing and trot out the same team...we'll get to the finals and lose again...and we're stuck with what we got the next couple of years with no flexibility and I doubt Lebron would stick around for that.

I think we will keep trying to deal him for a better Two Way star that is better fitted against GSW.. But since there are not many out there i dont know..

I think we will keep an eye on what we could get for him. His Stock will propably rise because i think a 25/12 Season is not impossible.

If Kyrie is gone, Love's stats should be higher.

Perfect time to trade a 29 year old Love before losing to Golden State kills his value again.

The team should let Love shoot an 06 Kobe amount of times a game, let Lebron and TT box out and leave Love free to get every rebound (like how OKC does for Westbrook) so Love isn't wincing and putting his hand on his lowback 13 times a game and if Love has the ball in the high-post the whole Cavs team better be cutting and curling quickly all over the place so Love can channel his inner Magic Johnson...And the Cavs should try to sneakily hold a driving player by the waist, shoulders and/or neck so said player doesn't get so high for a layup so Love can get blocks with his 5 inch vertical. Last one will only work if we as a team distract the refs WWE style...try to obstruct the cameramens view if at all possible too.

Pad those stats so he looks like the second coming of J*sus and then ship his ass out to some poor team that thinks they got the next Olajuwon/Bird hybrid.

That's what I'd suggest anyway...

I'd just like to add to my previous post:

If teams start to question Loves inflated stats (as a result of the game plan I outlined in my above post) we can just spin it as Kyrie was holding Love back.

And by obstructing the cameramens view, it will help us in case they decide to go to instant replay...

I gotcha..

As I said in S34, I've expected James to leave for weeks... and if/when he leaves, I'm okay with it. And, as I said before, if James were to leave; I'd still root for him --- because he won Cleveland a championship. Just like I still root for Delly and Mozgov...

And with that said, I'm not surprised if Kyrie thinks James is going to leave -- hell, I think James is going to leave... and from there I can't be incredibly surprised if Kyrie doesn't want to be straddled with a multi-year rebuild..

I am surprised that he'd sacrifice $70M just to get traded.

I think that speaks volumes.

I don't mind if Kyrie, LeBron, and Love all leave. I had a fantastic time watching this team rebuild the first time, and I'd love to watch it again. Gilbert knows how to drive a tank. Hopefully he finds someone this time to draft better.

However, I don't think LeBron wants to leave, but he's not going to attach his final years of prime play to a franchise that can't get its shit together.

I think we still have a chance to keep him, but it might take winning another championship to do it.

Hmm...

I thought watching them rebuild was a fucking nightmare.

I think you won't at all enjoy watching a team minus the greatest basketball player of all time on it.

I like both. Of course, having the King is better. I hope he doesn't leave.

What, you don't miss all the cool tank threads? Tank threads are the shit.

keep love. keep LeBron. trade Irving to the Kings and get rid of Shump.

rebuild on the fly while still contending for championships.

What can RCF get if it trades you and I?

I lobe how its just assumed that Love will be ok with the fact that the team had all but traded him and that its public knowledge. Like he won't say a word or cause any sorta trouble.

This could be an issue. Particularly if he knows the Cavs still have eyes on George if things dont work in OKC.

What stops him from doing exactly what Kyrie is doing?
