Do you start Rose or Delly?

I am assuming we will at some point pull off the Kyrie for Bledsoe/Jackson trade so then Bledsoe would start. Delly would go back to his original role of being a spark on defense off the bench which Shump failed at. This would also serve to rid us of Calderon's worthless ass and keep Rose and Bledsoe healthier with Delly seeing significant minutes.

Delly just seemed to fit like a glove on this team whereas Shump consistently under-performs. Clearly Shump has more innate athletic ability, and maybe the Bucks could get more out of him, but we never seem to see it materialize. And Delly didn't seem to fit well at all in a larger role for them. He fits better here.

If we get Bledsoe, I dont see Delly being a fit, too many pg's, all with limitations.

If we get Porzingis, then Delly becomes a great fit.

Shump for Delly? I would do it, and I assume the Bucks would too.

I would do it immediately. The Bucks don't really need Shump, is the problem - they have a bunch of SG/SF types with length already.

If we did that I would actually consider starting Delly and bringing Rose off the bench or at least stagger the minutes like that, would play to both guys strengths.

Delly is a poor contract and not a particularly good basketball player.

I don't understand the infatuation because he hustles.

At $4 million per year, sure. At $10 million, crippling.

Delly can play the 2. He played well as on off guard with Lebron and kyrie.

I agree, but I want Rose on the bench and JR at the 2, rather see Rose light up back ups and be the bench scoring we need.

Also we dont need more scoring especially if we get Porzingis, so Delly does what he does best, hard defense and play maker.

Exactly. Who would you rather have at $10M per year? Shump or Delly?

That is what it comes down to. We need what Delly brings at this point more than what Shump brings.

I said a couple of years ago it would come down to Shump bs Delly and at the time i was thinking Shump, but at this point Selly fits our needs better.

Now this doesnt mean Delly is the better player, just means Delly fills holes we have better.

Now if we get bledsoe, I am not so sure anymore that i rather have Delly.

Imagine how Gilbert feels about it!

Maybe because our defense fell off a cliff without him

Also because:

* He gave 100%
* He doesn't mind playing w/ LBJ like other high profile PG's whose names rhyme with Curving
* IV's hanging out of his arm, him and LBJ almost pulled off some magic together
* He passed the ball

Oh, and most importantly!

* He would pass to... Kevin Love! (This IS Kevin's thread, I had to make it about him somehow!)

Actually, Shumpert is likely to opt out after next season, coming off the books.

Delly has 3 more years left.

So yes, more crippling.

What's even more crippling is Shump opting out and leaving. Losing him for nothing. Or having to extend him and giving him a raise.

Did you just say "Shump" and "losing him for nothing" in a concerned manner?

That's the dream, man. You mean, it won't COST us anything?!
